About forbidden sex, anyway. they're not actually having sex, but they want to be. or they are, and it's wrong. "i feel you make love to me slightly every time you let a little laugh slip too soon": changing somehting mundane into something sexual because there's so much sexual tension between them... maybe one of them's in a relationship so they can't do anything... "you try not to let your emotions show"/"i try not to let my emotions show" etc. they're trying to repress their feelings for one and other, but it's not working...

It's definitely about two people who have a lot of feelings for one another, but for whatever reason cannot be together. Be it that they are both in relationships, or one is single, but one is not.
the "sticky hands, sticky arms, sticky situation" refers to the fact that they are definitely toeing the line a bit with each other causing the situation to become a bit more complicated.
For me, this song is totally all about sex!! Okay, I could be totally off-base... but it makes me think about a relationship where emotions stem from the physical component involved...
