Peace - An End Lyrics
Peace is a word
Of the sea and the wind
Peace is a bird who sings
As you smile
Peace is the love
Of a foe as a friend
Peace is the love you bring
To a child
Surging for me
You look everywhere
Excepts beside you
Surging for you
You look everywhere
But not inside you
Peace is a stream
From the heart of a man
Peace is a man, habeo
Is the dawn
Peace is a dawn
On a day without end
Peace is the end, habeo
Of the war
Of the sea and the wind
Peace is a bird who sings
As you smile
Peace is the love
Of a foe as a friend
Peace is the love you bring
To a child
You look everywhere
Excepts beside you
Surging for you
You look everywhere
But not inside you
From the heart of a man
Peace is a man, habeo
Is the dawn
Peace is a dawn
On a day without end
Peace is the end, habeo
Of the war

These lyrics are so good, like most of Sinfield's lyrics - thick with imagery and metaphors, just beautiful.
I think the throughout the entire theme, peace is being conveyed as totally pure.
Nature, forgiveness, acceptance and innocence.
It's all there. Sublime.
This song says a powerful thing to the pomposity of the intellectual
"Searching for me You look everywhere Except beside you Searching for you You look everywhere But not inside you"
For me these lyrics and this section of the song - is the song. In the Wake of Poseidon closes shrewdly on this note. The lyrics mean that peace has no cardinality. It is not an object that may be defined by postulates and formulas, nor a subject of extreme contemplation or calculation. Peace is an essence that you feel; if you must rationalize peace then you are empty. Peace is simple and primordial for those who can feel.
