You can walk my path
You can wear my shoes
Learn to talk like me and be an angel too

But maybe you ain't never gonna feel this way
You ain't never gonna know me, but I know you
I'm singing it now

Things can only get better
Can only get better if we see it through
That means me and I mean you too
So teach me now that things can only get better
They can only get, they only get, take it on from here
You know I know that things can only get better

I, sometimes lose myself in me
I lose track of time
And I can't see the woods for the trees
You set them alight
Burn bridges as you go
I'm too weak to fight you
I've got my personal hell to deal with, then you say

Walk my path
Wear my shoes
Talk like that
I'll be an angel then
Things can only get better
They can only get better
Now I found you (and you and you)

You have shown me prejudice and greed
And you've shown me how I must learn to deal with this disease
I look at things now in a different light than I did before
And I've found the cause
And I think you can be my cure
So teach me to

Walk your path
Wear your shoes
Talk like that
I'll be an angel and things can only get better
Can only get better
Now I found you

Things can only get, can only get

Things can only get better, they can only get better
Now I found you
Things can only get, can only get

Things can only get better
Will only get better
They can only get better
Now I found you
So teach me to

Walk your path
Wear your shoes
Talk like that
I'll be an angel and things can only get better
They can only get better
Now I found you (and you and you)
Things can only get better
They can only get better
Now I found you

    My Interpretation

"You can walk my path You can wear my shoes Learn to talk like me and be an angel too

But maybe you ain't never gonna feel this way You ain't never gonna know me, but I know you I'm singing it now"

I see this as Christ and the Christian. The relationship each has. The love that Jesus has for the individual, asking him/her to follow, yet allowing that person the free will to choose. Jesus knows that person and loves him//her despite the decision they make in the end. If we choose to walk with Him we can become more like Him.

"Things can only get better Can only get better if we see it through That means me and I mean you too"

If we follow Him, things can only get better. and He will not leave us on our own but always be with us.

"So teach me now that things can only get better They can only get, they only get, take it on from here You know I know that things can only get better"

Then this is our response. We love Him, we want to be like Him but many times we don't know how. We need Him to "take it on from here" and guide and teach us.

"I, sometimes I lose myself in me I lose track of time And I can't see the wood for the trees You set them alight Burning bridges as you go I'm too weak to fight you I've got my personal hell to deal with, then you say"

Even as followers and friends of Jesus we struggle within ourselves. We get consumed with self and loose our inner peace and joy that we first had when we were young Christians. But Jesus doesn't give up. He comes and rescues us. But sometimes we still resist even though we are so weak from the inner battles we fight. We reject Him, but still he says:

"Walk my path Wear my shoes Talk like that"

    And our response is:

"I'll be an angel then Things can only get better Can only get better, now I found you

Things can only get better They can only get better Now I found you And you and you"

I love this part. It is so true of the Christian life if we are walking close to Jesus. The disease is the disease of sin. And the prejudice and greed is within. Christ in His soft and gentle way shows us that the problems in the world start with the individual. The "cause" is indwelling sin, Jesus is the cure.

"You've shown me prejudice and greed And you've shown me how I must learn to deal with this disease I look at things now in a different light than I did before And I've found the cause And I think you can be my cure"

So we say to Jesus, knowing that with Him things will only get better:

    "So teach me to

Walk your path Wear your shoes Talk like that I'll be an angel and things can only get better

Things can only get, can only get Things can only get, can only get Things can only get, can only get Things can only get, can only get"

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
