Thanks I'm fine
But I've nothing to give
But I just have to leave
Head off I would rather live on a train

And now I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to be here
I don't want to be seen
Head off I would rather live on a train

Yes I lie
If I tell you I'm right
Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right

Thanks I'm down
'Cause I've nothing to lose
I'm alone in a cruise
Head off I would rather live on a train

And now I'm crying
'Cause I don't want to be here
I don't want to be seen
Head off I would rather live on a train

Yes I lie
If I tell you I'm right
Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right

Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right
Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right

Destination nowhere on this train
Destination nowhere on a train
You got nothing to lose
Except you

Yes I lie
If I tell you I'm right
Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right

Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right
Oh baby I lie
If I tell you I'm right

    My Opinion

This is a great little dance tune. The film clip makes me feel like I'm going on a journey, floating in a dream or - if you're so inclined - on a drug trip.

I've seen lyrics posted differently. Some say "I would rather LIVE on a train". Others say "I would rather LEAVE on a train". Not sure what is correct. I'd like to get my hands on the album and if there's a lyrics booklet in it, bonus!

    Lyric Correction

Lyrics. These were taken from the official lyrics booklet of the album. I'm still not sure about the chorus. I think he says "if I tell you THAT I'm right" but yeah... Occasionally lyrics booklets get it wrong. It could be his accent though (when he says "seen" it sounds weird, as does "head off") because he's French lol.

    My Interpretation

It sounds like the singer is depressed or sad about his life (the verses). And in the chorus it's like he's saying "I'm lying to you if I tell you I'm (al)right" because he's NOT alright. Perhaps the train references symbolise him wanting to get away from his life? When you travel on a train you are travelling away from something. That's just my two cents.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
