Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here Lyrics

And with these humble tools, we can trigger any motion we choose
But we'll just settle to pump out repeated relics diluted with smiles

You seen the airwaves that clogged up
Rather fickle they laugh it up, laugh it up
They need to be drowned in condiments
And left to find their sense

Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here

Snap back to reality, the turbulence is throwing us from side-to-side
But no matter how hard you try to relic that cannon fodder with stagnant sounds

You seen the airwaves that clogged up
Rather fickle they laugh it up, laugh it up
They need to be drowned in condiments
And left to find their sense

Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here

Transformation in progress
Transformation in progress
Transformation complete

(Lightning strikes) A flash flood of colour
(Let it strike) I can't stand the hate
(Lightning strikes) A flash flood of colour
I can't stand the hate

A flash flood of colour

Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here

I think this song is about unoriginal musicians- they can create any emotion they want in their listeners but instead chose to remake old songs or not try anything new.. but of course 'the fickle, they lap it up'. The masses buy these manufactured songs and they are fickle as their tastes change so easily- theres no such thing as loyalty to musicians anymore- they need to be 'left to ponder sense' they don't think, they follow trends like sheep. Maybe the people who arent welcome are the people who aren't their true fans? I'm not sure..

But maybe I'm taking it too literally as the rest of the album is more about climate change and the state of the planet.. :/

My Interpretation

you're on the money.

Not Valid

I think their music video confirms this, the way they get copied and reproduced by some record-label company looking guy, the type of person who might have a 'warm smile' but who is only trying to capitalize on the music art form.

you are barking up the wrong tree and tbf its less climate change and state of the planet and more about segregation of races and being outspoken against the british government and its constant greed.

It's "But the fickle they--lap it up, laffe it up"... I put out a quote by Bukowski; "You begin saving the world one person at a time--all else is grandiose romanticism or politics." "You've got to know when to lie"? "You begin saving the world one person at a time--or, 'politics'."--Politics means "pole" "ish" (roughly)--to play God. It's kind of like "Let me introduce our guests!!" (the word). No one knows what "Grandiose" means, off the top of their heads, but "grand" is such a wide array of things that it's a misnomer ($1,000 is "a grand", because if you say "four hundred eighty-five thousand" you look like a pretentious asswipe)--and "iose" basically means "of hose" [which can be relabelled as "big pants"--shoes; to portray characteristics of something, or to show the hints of a trade--so, grandiose means "grandeur of mind" or "aether" (spiritual)]. The song is about a cultural standstill, or the period of time between shit not being good enough and more shit that's not good enough being released. "Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here!"--basically, the "British" accent (It's Australian, believe it or not) is enunciating the exclamation, as opposed to singing it louder, because it's impossible in music. So, in reality it's about "finding balance"--if you listen to the CD in backwards order it sounds different because the tone doesn't FULLY reverse. If you "try" (<<) it starts on Quelle Surprise; the "dodging bullets" comes out (":O" <<) "You are not gonna take away our dreams/means..."--basically it's "an attempt" (the ONLY attempt [to analyze]--I'm not EVIL, I'm CULTURED... "Now they're cracking all the pressure from our force... 'cause we don't belong here! So we're rising to the stubborn assault course..."--It kind of pissed me off, because I'm a good person, but "I let God guide me, I trust God..."--It's kind of like "Yin & Yang", "I'm not gonna have another chance to make this CD this in-depth", and the style is so easy to listen to that I was worried it'd be too much of a "warp"; "Rory C: What's your thesis?! 'I don't fucking BELIEVE this!' " In SC2 there's a character named Rory Swann, I couldn't wrap my head around the idea of "Satan" being in my music so I tried to let it stay conceptual, "Our minds are dormant and static, don't ever respect conventional thought without--REASON!! We need to fucking ERUPT!" -- "Today, for the very first time! We started planning out the ultimate crime!?! Locking together to destroy this cold stasis..." If you can't listen to Quelle Surprise & Destabilise, it's because they're in the genre of harmonic death metal (technically--No... I found yang--"What?" So... I got Brent to contact someone and made what, like 5 other CDs? It was kind of like "Not actually my singing voice, technically, so I can probably sound like them, I've been writing since I was very, very young so I can probably at least give them ideas, and it seems like a good idea anyway"--I need to round this paragraph >_<) "If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose"--I'm pretty sure that's what Satan is, even, just the idea of "take", being used until it comes to THIS point--He's essentially a Monk, or a human God talks to... if you look at quantum theory, it's explained so that if you examine a quantum force, it becomes consistent (The idea of a "something" existing on multiple levels, parallel to our existence or our level of observing--basically existentialism is founded from that, the idea that God is only viewing as an observer, as an observer from our language--That's why if you talk about possessions it annoys people! I'm guessing Jesus was martyred because "we" weren't civilized enough? People got a bad feeling, and assumed to examine the wrong way.) It's ironic because Brent was "Valcrist", which is "examiner of life" but means "reader of 'our' language"--is kind of like a mother telling her child to be happy. I kind of sound like a demon, if you think about it when you listen to it backwards--Because Sssnakepit sets the mood the other way around ("A nuclear submarine")

I wrote CD with buzzwords to help "nerds" (MMO-Kids) assimilate into doing whatever they want (Because I started playing-around when I was 11, in a T-rated game so I assume I'd have to be prepared--"Hello Tyrannosaurus, Meet Tyrannocide!" ...actually sounds good, when you reverse it.)--I really like THE IDEA of mythology, but it's hard to respect that (Satan likes abstract concepts)... it's basically a video game, and life is a lot more fun when you have a lot to think about, kind of like Marvel? It keeps you high... Use your imagination, you thrive under it. Don't stay so focused that you lose your mind; "Stop, think; begin to revive."... It's not very common to see music like this--any of it (Incesticide [& the Outcesticide series {...lol}], SC, PH, ES, Amarillys, Weapons, & the B-Sides I wrote [Seether, Incubus, {Shinedown} The Sound of Madness]; I think I wrote lyrics for The Dirty Heads, and maybe QOTSA ["We are gonna kick Pop's ass, let me write some Prog Metal"--Ever notice Team and Royals are about poke'mon?
"The moon we love like a brother! ...while he glows through the room" "YEAH, FUCK YOU, THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING I CAN THINK OF."}]) I forget, fuck this... I have my mentality back but getting my diction back actually takes WORK, most of my mentality is my work, so (What the fuck!?) 2-3 years of gradual decline fuck it "Addicted to'way you started~" I also wrote "How I Disappear" by MCR!

The only thing else I can think of to say is "Tennis Courts" is supposed to be "Watching" 400 Lux; and that CD is the theory of relativity (I'm not sure about when you include "The Love Club")--It's supposed to be a girl laying spread eagle on a car, probably in front of an apartment complex--Pure Heroine is a very funny CD. If you want to be retarded, put it on the end of Sound City or put Pure Heroine first if you want to be on the less aggressive end of things. ( O.o??? )--White Teeth Teens is supposed to be about FBC, "We wouldn't be seen dead here in the day--I guess we're lucky that it's dark, out; And if I like it then we'll stay--Impress the Empress, take a shot, now" It's about staying... too white, middle class. If you look at the lyrics, closely, the pronouns jump around (And that's what I'm talking about in Mantra--"Like a verb") "Stay," etc; it's set up so you CAN subconsciously take the T out, because "not" (out). "Skies" is a lot better, if you listen to it from far away, too--It's very, very COMPLEX. Happy Lent.
