...Meltdown Lyrics

It's your future

This is gonna change everything!
This is gonna change everything!
This is gonna change everything!

System meltdown, meltdown, meltdown...

Stand up!
How are we gonna get to this light? Get to this light?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
How are we gonna get out of this life? Get out of this life?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
When are we gonna get to this light? Get to this light?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
Countries are just lines drawn in the sand...

Inside this set foundation
We've had the realisation
Inside this set foundation
We've had the revelation

Fuck all borders and fuck all boundries
Fuck all flags and fuck nationalities
You've gotta give us a chance before we reach a system meltdown, meltdown, meltdown...

Stand up!
How are we gonna get to this light? Get to this light?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
When are we gonna get out of this life? Get out of this life?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
How are we gonna get to this light? Get to this light?
It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
Countries are just lines drawn in the sand with a stick

Inside this set foundation
We've had the realisation
Inside this set foundation
We've had the revelation

We begin to act inspired again
Start to walk that extra mile again
'cause I know that we are one

It's not too late, it's not too late
Stand up!
It's not too late, it's not too late

Fear starts to vanish when we begin to realise, that countries are just lines drawn in the sand with a stick

Perfect opening to the new album, combined with the intro track (System...). I love the direction that they've moved towards lyrically since Common Dreads. Like many of their new songs my interpretation is that they talk about the current state of the world and how the system we inherently live in will eventually result in a "system meltdown" but that there is still time to change it, we just need to stand up and act now.

Favourite lines are at the end: "Fear starts to vanish when we begin to realise, that countries are just lines drawn in the sand with a stick"

I think that this iterates the fact that nation boundaries are only an imagined construct, and that global unification is possible if we hold this realisation and drop our nationalistic ties (also imagined)("Fuck all borders and fuck all boundaries Fuck all flags and fuck nationalities), in order to propagate major change.

As nice a thought as that it, humanity doesn't work like that.

unless that changes we are doomed though.

I share the same philosophy pal :/ Just take the economic crisis at the moment for example. Here in the UK and Europe it's been spiralling downwards for the past 5 years or so. If you look back in the past it usually bounces back, but what if a tipping point is reached this time... I don't think our current generation could cope with another great depression.

Here's the correct lyrics (from A Flash Flood Of Colour Vinyl)

It's your future And this is gonna change everything System meltdown

Stand up, How we gonna get through this alive? It's not too late, How we gonna get out of this alive? Countries are just lines, drawn in the sand.

Inside this sick foundation We've had the realisation We've had the revelation; Fuck all borders and fuck all boundaries Fuck all flags and fuck nationalities

You've gotta give us a chance Before we reach the system meltdown Countries are just lines, Drawn in the sand with a stick.

We begin to learn to smile again Start to walk that extra mile again Cos I know that we are one Fear begins to vanish when we realise That countries are just lines, Drawn in the sand with a stick.

We need a new system... a new world... without borders without boundries

They are also talking about history. " Weve had the realization...weve had the revelation." " We begin to act inspired again." But your right this was a good opening track it kind of simply states what to do. Then the rest of the album gradually gets more abstrract
