Arcadia is a region in Greece where the cult of the god Pan was very powerful. PTV dedicated the song "thee full pack" to him...

Arcadia remained a beautiful, secluded area, and its inhabitants became proverbial as herdsmen leading simple pastoral unsophisticated yet happy lives, to the point that Arcadia may refer to some imaginary idyllic paradise". Look up Poussin's "The Shepherds of Arcadia" as an example of it's use in art.
