Ever After Lyrics
Once upon a time I used to romanticize
Used to be somebody never mind
Don't miss it that much now I think it's sinking in
Days that I wonder where I've been
In picture perfect porcelain
But I won't lose a pound
You say I would make a better liar
I never face the music when it's dire
I breathe disaster, ever after
Don't pull away from me now
Don't you move, can't you stay where you are just for now
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
You could be my ever after, after all
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
Apologies I'm not myself, but I can guarantee
That when I get back you won't believe
That you knew me well
Don't want to think about it
I'm fucking tired of getting sick about it
Now stand back up and be a man about it
And fight for something
I would make a better liar
I never face the music when it's dire
I breathe disaster, ever after
Don't pull away from me now
Don't you move, can't you stay where you are just for now
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
You could be my ever after, after all
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
Nobody told ya this is gonna fold ya
We go marching in like toy soldiers
To have and hold ya over sold ya
They're marching like toy soldiers
Somehow don't, you dare fail
Fail me now, ever after
Face the music when it's dire
Once upon a time
This place was beautiful and mine
But now it's just a bottom line
Barely comes to mind
Ever After was mine
I'll be your disaster, ever after
So fire away
Goodbye
Used to be somebody never mind
Don't miss it that much now I think it's sinking in
Days that I wonder where I've been
In picture perfect porcelain
But I won't lose a pound
I never face the music when it's dire
I breathe disaster, ever after
Don't pull away from me now
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
You could be my ever after, after all
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
That when I get back you won't believe
That you knew me well
Don't want to think about it
I'm fucking tired of getting sick about it
Now stand back up and be a man about it
And fight for something
I never face the music when it's dire
I breathe disaster, ever after
Don't pull away from me now
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
You could be my ever after, after all
I could be your perfect disaster
You could be my ever after
We go marching in like toy soldiers
To have and hold ya over sold ya
They're marching like toy soldiers
Fail me now, ever after
Face the music when it's dire
This place was beautiful and mine
But now it's just a bottom line
Barely comes to mind
Ever After was mine
I'll be your disaster, ever after
So fire away
Goodbye

Actually, the song is about his Eating Disorder. It is given a personality, and in this case, personified as a girl. It's like a bad relationship, like said. He romanticised about being thin. But it's not a fairy tale. It ruins a life. See the song Lover Dearest, also by Marianas Trench, and you'll see what I mean. But that was about his drug addiction.
Love this song. Well I love basically every song off the album. But anyway this song is about a guy, where things just go wrong for him. And hes saying that he could be her "perfect disaster, and she could be his ever after" Great song. He's telling her that they can fall in love, and she could be his other half, complete him, make his life much better than it is.
