I say yo tell me is it worth it
All the cars and the cribs that niggas worship
That material shit wouldn't scratch the surface
Dreams so big it make it these simple niggas nervous
If you gave it up for what I want you couldn't make a purchase
Nah Nah I be really focused
Thinking bout my goals and really manifest these verses
Killing all these shows I'm putting venues in a hurst
Just for someone I don't know to simply tell me that I'm perfect Dam
Its been a sacrifice
Like more sweat than blood
But more blood than tears
But it was worth it no reverses hit the clutch and steer
Hell yea I'm fuckin scared
To kill one of these niggas before my time and get 100 years
Cuz y'all aint even half as nice
This aint got shit to do with luck cuz I don' shattered dice
Y'all talk about these bragging rights
Still speak about my sacrifice
Even when I touch the afterlife
The beauty of it all is in the work
Pray for better days like it’s church
I got drive, 100 plus no reverse
Would you die for it tell me what’s its worth
Oooh Tell me what’s its worth
Would you stand for it never backing down nigga tell what it’s worth
Would you rep that shit with nobody around nigga tell me what it’s worth
Double up Jordan talking 223’s
Carbon rifle big leg on it fubu jeans
Boy I will do you dirty, meet your maker before you turn 30
Was hands free before you niggaz got my Bluetooth early
New coupe perrty
I’m sacrificing all the jewels and them bad bitches
Cuz blowing money foolishly don’t mix with my ambition
In hot in that dam kitchen
Washing them dam dishes
Bussin them suds down
Breaking them buds down
My nigga them grams hittin
I’m taxing like Sam did it
Reward for all the risk you gotta feel me my hand itching
Diamonds and gold chains be dancing like soul train
No I ain’t going half cuz I need the whole thang
36 zips it could change ya life
For better or for worse gotta play it right
More time for moving coke than if you take a life
Everything is foul play it’s setup so we take a strike
The beauty of it all is in the work
Pray for better days like it’s church
I got drive, 100 plus no reverse
Would you die for it tell me what’s its worth
Oooh Tell me what’s its worth
Would you stand for it never backing down nigga tell what it’s worth
Would you rep that shit with nobody around nigga tell me what it’s worth
My friends, my foes, my ends, my goals
The family wanna see me  shine fo’ that window close
Niggas throwing shade at me they just hoes
People wanna dim ya light you know how that shit goes
Too many watts, I’ve broken down too many blocks
Cross the line it’s not a such thing as too many shots
Cuz too many friends just turns into too many opps
Too many goofies, I walk around with 2 mini glocks
Yea dog I seen pile ups
Road blocks that go miles up
Dome shots that turn blocks hotter than stovetops
For thinking we bout to close shop
Wont stop Raw like coke coming thru boat drops
Oh nah don't stop, game ender we the flame spitters
On the same road its just different lanes nigga
We aint nothing like you lame niggas
They say my name different
Its a work of art you hear the paint dripping
The beauty of it all is in the work
Pray for better days like it’s church
I got drive, 100 plus no reverse
Would you die for it tell me what’s its worth
Oooh Tell me what’s its worth
Would you stand for it never backing down nigga tell what it’s worth
Would you rep that shit with nobody around nigga tell me what it’s worth

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
