You were like some drug to me
I could hardly sleep a wink again
Pretending you should want it
Honest and I wanted it and no one there could tell the lack of trying
Eventually it caught me

Foolish is as foolish does
Stupidly I blamed it all on you
Some how started caring
And I
Am not
Me
I am not me

And truth it always finds a way
Exploit out your mouth
And save the grace
I knew that it could haunt you
Never really acting twice avoiding time and catching up on you
At some point fur stops caring

Stupidly is stupid does
I took it there and burnt the rest for you
At some point fur stops caring
And you
Are not
Me
I
Am not
Me

not sure who put these lyrics together but they're way off. here are the actual lyrics:

You were like some drug to me I remember vividly The last few things you said Waiting in our parents' room The view, the taste, the crooked moon again Universally apparent

Shaking like a man should never shake I pulled a coin out from my breast Pretending it could change you Cause even if he didn’t die We’d be right where we came alive again Pursuing absolution

    And I, am not, me

Fair to me and fair to you I left and never turned around for that Assumed that you would beg me And from the shadow to the light The god I know could not be tired But I am such a separate story

Stupid is as stupid does and stupidly I pulled the plug on you it finally stopped beating stupid is as stupid was and somehow you’ll forgive the both of us at some point fur stop caring

I, am not, me And I, am not, me

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
