What have we to show?
Barren feelings and dust to grow.
We can't ever know
When it's time to go.
That's the way to see the end,
Glowing out along the river bend.
It's not goodbye, my only friend.
Yesterday is starting over again.
Barren feelings and dust to grow.
We can't ever know
When it's time to go.
Glowing out along the river bend.
It's not goodbye, my only friend.
Yesterday is starting over again.

some of the lyrics are wrong. i edited them, hoping they go through soon. anyway, i think it's pretty obvious this song is about dying, or the death of a loved one, and possibly not having the chance to say goodbye. the line "we can't ever know when it's time to go" makes me thing of this, but could also be seen from a religious perspective as the rapture, or as aliens taking us home. either way, this song is very hopeful to me. not really the lyrics, but the music - especially toward the end. it makes me happy :)
