i swear to god she lives my life, and writes about it. every single song she's ever sang from any album is identical to my life. obviously, this girl knows what's always kc ALWAYS. and yes, i love you. and you are good enough.

I think this song is pretty straightforward and still so powerful.

Her boyfriend broke up with her and basically blamed it on all her. Kelly, however, is smart enough to realize that it isn't her fault at all. He is the one who screwed the relationship up. He is the one who's not good enough.

This song was direct shade/read of Clive Davis. Kelly wanted her song "Because of You" on her first record. Clive didn't want any of her songs she wrote beause he told her she was a "shitty writer" and that nothing rhymes, she should be grateful for the gifts he bestowed upon her. Clive literally told her "shut up and sing." She cried infront of him.

Of course Clive says it was because Kelly didn't want to sing "Since U Been Gone" and she cried.

This song was a huge middle finger to Clive Davis and RCA.
