The "I" is possibly the singer viewing the behaviour and thinking that the male character is treating the world as if it is his property or his "right." The line relating to thirst for blood could be taken as the male character looking for a fight or looking for one of the ladies. The other character/ singer then asks what the man does in the day, due to his night time activities. Run into me sunday "Tell me you had one hell of a time And through the haze and the gun smoke, i'm forced to believe You're probably right Someone lies bleeding Someone got violent and did not think twice And i watched you my brother, making a fool of the moon tonight" This verse is possibly related to the male telling the singer that he had a great time the previous night, which is not fully convincing to the singer, who possibly believes the friend is trying to hide his true emotions with the "gun smoke" and "haze." The next lines relating to violence possibly relates to some of the violent imagery on the streets and the fights the male friend is possibly getting into on the nights out. The "brother" could be taken literally as a sibling, or possibly as a close friend, who is making a fool of himself through the violence and disrespect when out in the night. "So bum me a cigarette, buy me a beer Till I'm happy to be here, happy to be here With all of my family, hookers in heels And the men who watch them like hungry black eels" The main character/ singer is not enjoying his friends choice of night time activity, so he is forced to put on a front to look happy through cigarettes and beer, he then tells his friend that he is happy to be out with him, despite not fully enjoying it. The "family" could be related to the loneliness of the male character turning him to treat the "hookers in heels" negatively or as if they were his family, like all the other men who watch them like "hungry black eels," "hunger" implying a sense of desperation and "black eels" perhaps being the men disguising their feelings in a mysterious way. *My interpretation - not necessary the actual song meaning, just what I thought when I heard the song

I Believe this Song is about what it says it is; Family

The Artist is singing about his brother, more specifically his brother's lifestyle. His "Nightlife" consists of cursing like it's "his right" to do so, implied drinking and smoking, yelling obscenities at girl's walking by as if he was looking for a fight "thirsty for blood." The Moon shines light on the world, allowing people to exist in the Night and he is making a "fool of the moon" for letting him act so ignorantly.
The man wonders how his brother can look at himself in the day time and is disgusted with his brother's habits but at the same time he goes along with it "Bum me a cigarette Buy me a beer, till I'm happy to be here." He'll drink and smoke with his brother to numb the reality of the situation and the cards they've both been dealt. It's not only his Brother's life, Some women in his family are "hookers" and he watches the men that prey on them like "hungry black eels". He doesn't necessarily want this filthy life for his Family but at the same time, he sees no escape, so he does nothing to prevent it and goes along with it.

"Am I just a Spark." This final lyric Is the singer wondering if by not interfering and stopping the lifestyle of his Family, Is he essentially encouraging or "Sparking" it.

*It Really Is a wonderful song and relatable on the level that all our Family's have flaws they are not proud of, but we back their decisions because they are Family and stand by them even if sometimes it's for the wrong reasons. The Lyrics portray the darker side of some Families and the feeling of relentless emptiness in this lifestyle of drugs, alcohol, and prostitution and how it affects the brother.
