Black Bottle Lyrics
Just don't drink the black bottle
It just don't get you anywhere
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going' there
Don't drink the black bottle
It just don't get you anywhere
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going there
We're gonna go to Cloudberry Farm
Where somebody's gonna let you in
And there ain't a lot of round-the-way
'Cause it just won't get you anywhere
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going there
Don't drink the black bottle
It just won't get you anywhere
You and I will catch a hotshot to the berry trees
Ain't nobody going to get us there
We're going out to Cloudberry Farm
Where no one's gonna ask your name
Where there ain't no one you gotta see
Hey Silverado take me on
Hey, not much far to go
Oh not much farther yet to go
Oh not long now oh not long now
Don't drink the black bottle
Just don't drink the black beer
Listening around for the mainline to take us anywhere
Conductor to let down her hair
Don't drink the black bottle
'Cause it won't get you anywhere
And if you wanna take the westbound train to is no more
Nobody gonna get you there
We're going out to Cloudberry Farm
Gonna get a little field to plow
Gonna visit young Mary Jane
Oh bring me closer again
oooo, oooo, no
It just don't get you anywhere
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going' there
It just don't get you anywhere
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going there
Where somebody's gonna let you in
And there ain't a lot of round-the-way
Not unless you want the westbound train to is no more
And we don't want you going there
It just won't get you anywhere
You and I will catch a hotshot to the berry trees
Ain't nobody going to get us there
Where no one's gonna ask your name
Where there ain't no one you gotta see
Hey, not much far to go
Oh not much farther yet to go
Oh not long now oh not long now
Just don't drink the black beer
Listening around for the mainline to take us anywhere
Conductor to let down her hair
'Cause it won't get you anywhere
And if you wanna take the westbound train to is no more
Nobody gonna get you there
Gonna get a little field to plow
Gonna visit young Mary Jane
Oh bring me closer again
oooo, oooo, no

This song is about in the 1930's and 40's during the Great Depression when lots of people took to the trains and starting "riding the rails." When people would get sick on the trains, they would go to the hospital. With the large influx of hobos, people in the hospitals were getting mad and so they started feeding the sick hobos a mysterious "black bottle" which they said was medicine. However, in reality, it was poison that eventually killed the patient opening more space in the hopsital. Chad goes on to say, "If you're ever ridin' the rails and you get sick, don't drink the black bottle when you go to the hospital." haha
