Little Death Lyrics
I feel lonely when you disown me, my friends.
You say used to know me then, now my body's under a rock.
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
We are just sinners,
We're condemned to death..
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
Fuck what you believe in,
Cause this is the end.
You can't find nothing at all,
When there's nothing there all along.
I'm everything that you're not,
Which is what makes you,
What makes you, want me so.
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
We are just sinners,
We're condemned to death..
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
Fuck what you believe in,
Cause this is the end.
Take me home, please take me home.
Take me somewhere I want to go.
Take me home, please take me home.
Take me somewhere I want to go.
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
We are just sinners,
We're condemned to death.
We are not your lovers,
We are not your friends.
Fuck what you believe in,
It's the end.

What year was this song? I'm curious to know if they were inspired by the lyrics to Brand New's Sowing Season (Yeah), or vice versa.
The album (Sinners Never Sleep) was released on the 3rd October 2011, including this song :)

In You Me At Six's song 'Call That A Comeback', they put in the exact line "if you let me have my way I swear I'll tear you apart" from Brand New's 'Me vs Maradona vs Elvis'. so I'd say they are inspired by Brand New.

a friend of mine asked max about it at a show a couple of weeks ago and he said yes, they're all huge brand new fans and josh wanted to give them a shout-out.

It kind of sounds like
"We are just the sinners, We condemn to death."
but I could be wrong.
However I am absolutely sure that it is actually
"we are not your lovers, we are not your friends, Fuck what you believe in, Cause this is the end."
Other than that, great work on the lyrics :)
pretty sure you're right :)

"I'm everything that you're not which is what makes you want me so." I've never heard this song, but that line really sums up human nature. I roll my eyes whenever I hear my sweet elderly mother talk about those who look different (tattoos; blue hair; skinny jeans; piercings) for she honestly does not understand the judgments she's making based on appearances. Imagine if we all looked and acted and sounded alike; what an incredibly boring place this world would be. Like magnets, opposite people often attract. It's what lights that often dormant fire within us. It's the ying and the yang connecting. The song sounds angry...filled with resentment due to someone feeling left behind. Perhaps s/he only imagines that which s/he fears. Perhaps her glasses need cleaning ;)

"Little Death" is track number 6 on You Me At Six's third studio album "Sinners Never Sleep" which was recorded in Los Angeles, USA. In French "little death" translates to "la petite mort" which is a metaphor for orgasm, this is what You Me At Six wanted the song to be, an orgasm to your ears. In all fairness, it actually is. You Me At Six also wanted to call the album "Little Death" but it was deemed slightly inappropriate. As for the lyrics, the song is basically about being disowned by someone who is supposed to be your friend.
