i think the song is obviously how he doesnât want his partner to leave, as the title is literally âplease donât leaveâ. but jokes aside the song seems upbeat and happy except but itâs rlly a sad song ,,for the please donât leave part, itâs very sad and pleading sounding. he also says âi wonât let go, i canât let goâ itâs a relatable song in my opinion
