We have made our mistakes over
We have gone up and down
Over and over
Once again I have crossed
Double-crossed over
I betrayed our trusts
Knocked it all over
Over, over
And I wonder why
Why we didn't try this time
We didn't even try
Try to make things right
As you wonder why
Why we didn't try
We didn't try this time
We didn't even try
Try to make things right this time over
With the wind this will blow
It will blow over
Is the time, time to mend
Over?
Maybe we can delve
Deep into ourselves, over
Find the smallest flame
Re-install the game
Over
We have gone up and down
Over and over
Once again I have crossed
Double-crossed over
I betrayed our trusts
Knocked it all over
Over, over
Why we didn't try this time
We didn't even try
Try to make things right
As you wonder why
Why we didn't try
We didn't try this time
We didn't even try
Try to make things right this time over
It will blow over
Is the time, time to mend
Over?
Maybe we can delve
Deep into ourselves, over
Find the smallest flame
Re-install the game
Over

It makes me think about those moments, when in relationship the excitement has subsided and people don't bother any more. They are tired with games, tricks, tired of hurting each other or watching, begging to not get hurt.
Then they split, struggle with the strong bong of emotions that tied them up. Their heads with mixes anger and longing for those great moments that happened long time ago.
Maybe both waiting for the other one to do something. Trying to find a reason to come back.
But it's all over and the feeling goes off...like a yoghourt.
I've gone through this song once. Maybe it's not totally the same what the creators want to show with the lyrics, but anyway. Sometimes people meet each other, the one falls in love - the other accepts the love. Then they break up and meet some time later. The other wants to be loved again and starts stimulating the one's imagination of their true love & unrealized happiness. When the other gets it, he continues to "cross and double-cross" loosing the remnants of trust of the one. Finally the one wonders: why we didn't try to make things right this time? (or in other words why the other started all over again if he wasn't sure that's what he wanted). So both keep making the same mistake: the one wanting to finally fulfill his desire of mutual love with an incorrect person & the other misunderstanding his own feelings (likes or dislikes)and hurting the one again.
It's best to let it go...
