This song is well-beyond epic, I really don't know why there aren't more comments :O

As far as meaning goes, I would say it's not very complex. I think he is commenting on how we as a species are striving for and looking to the future to solve our problems, but in reality we spend no time focusing on the now, and in-fact, know very little about our present state. Possibly to the extent that this distraction with the future is causing or preventing us from solving our present problems.

someone decided that everytime i'm stressed out, i have to find a new guy. that doesn't make any sense. i'm stressed out a lot more often than i'm in a relationship. kind of like lion in a coma by animal collective. everytime i'm stressed out, i need to have meaningless sex, apparently. i don't understand the people i know.
