ok so there is probably a whole load of dissappointed marina fans when it comes to this song. they are probably thinking 'what??? this isn't marina! this is dr luke or some crazy crap!' and they are partly correct. yes marina did work with dr luke on the production of this song and yes it is marina but not in the way we are used to. we are used to marina writing songs purley about her feelings on the world and her opinions. radioactive IS a song about her feelings and opinions but these ideas are not put directly into the song. the words do not describe marina's hatred of mass produced pop about love and sex but even though the lyrics aren't about that, the song is. marina is using this song to make a point. in the video she starts out as marina like we know her. a beautiful brunette but as soon as she puts on that white blonde wig, she becomes electra heart. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT ELECTRA HEART IS NOT MARINA'S ALTER-EGO. electra is simply a chracter marina has created to tell a story. electra could be compared to lady gaga in that the real lady gaga, steph, does not go around with telephones on her head singing about drugs sex and dancing. lady gaga is just a character. all her manerisms and habbits are fake just like electra is the result of someone's imagination. marina is using this song to say 'look! this is what pop is! look at how disgusted you are at me doing this when you dont have this reaction to rihanna doing the same thing!' she is using it as a wake up call. so to all you dissapointed diamonds, this song IS marina just in a slightly different way and even if it doesnt have the simple, real instrument music marina uses, listen to the vocals. marina has yet again succeded in creating a song in which she sings both higher and lower than i can in the same line. just keep being faithful to her and think about it. she needs your support.

It just sounds like being insanely lost, at the same time in love and scared as hell. Maybe unexpectly falling for someone while being one big mess yourself and being terrified of it, knowing that whatever you feel just lifts up your heart but leads you nowhere and it's just one big rollercoaster where in one second you want someone to fall for you madly but then you're suddenly scared of it and you want to leave.
