Love, hold my hand
Help me see with the dawn
That those that have left
Are not gone
But they carry on
As stars looking down
As nature's sons
And daughters of the heavens
You will not ever be forgotten by me
In the procession of the mighty stars
Your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Forever
You have touched my life
So that now
Cathedrals of sound are singing, are singing
The waves have come to walk with you
To where you will live in the land of you,
Land of you
You will not ever be forgotten by me
In the procession of the mighty stars
Your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Forever.
Help me see with the dawn
That those that have left
Are not gone
But they carry on
As stars looking down
As nature's sons
And daughters of the heavens
You will not ever be forgotten by me
In the procession of the mighty stars
Your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Forever
You have touched my life
So that now
Cathedrals of sound are singing, are singing
The waves have come to walk with you
To where you will live in the land of you,
Land of you
You will not ever be forgotten by me
In the procession of the mighty stars
Your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Here I will carry, carry, carry you
Forever.

Carry represents the end of the song cycle that is Night Of Hunters. The female character eventually learns that there are greater problems in life than those concerning love and relationships and accepts what has happened between her and the male character and manages to come to terms with it. She finds peace.
Even though the shattering of the relationship hurt, The journey the female character has from dusk to dawn allows her to move on. There is no resentment of what happened. The male character is, is seems, no longer a part of her life physically, but will never be forgotten.
You are quite correct, StephenJarve.

Remembering someone who has died? With heavy reference to the stars, perhaps this is how the speaker likes to visualize where they are or what they've embodied. Dunno, really. Just commented because no one else had and I am loving this song.
I have whispered you back to life.
This song for me is one of remembrance for the (or all) Indigenous (Americans) and an acknowledgement of their narrative in history.
