Sometimes At Night Lyrics

I broke the little cabana boy's heart
To let you fondle me in the dark
One of those city outdoor motels
In your bed swore I never would tell

I waited for the sun
But it never came out
Now I'll never know what the fuss was about
So watch it set over this mess
There used to be a town
You're the last one I thought I'd have my arms around

Sometimes at night
The bodies collide
And I forget who I'm
Laying next to

I did not ask to be born with these eyes
Eyes that always speak for my mind
I thought I would come home alone
But I brought all your habits into my home

Sometimes at night
The bodies collide
And I forget who I'm
Laying next to

Laying next to

I had a very dysfunctional relationship at one point and this song perfectly describes that to me. Loving that person, never being able to bite your tongue, then somehow making everything better but still wondering who you could be sleeping next to. That's just my interpretation. I guess I could be a bit biased though.
