Ode to the Bouncer Lyrics

Oh, let me in or I'll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical to do

No, I haven't had no dope
Lift up the velvet rope
Mr doorman stop teasing
I'm freezing out here

See, I've got friends inside
It's my birthday tonight
And I'm not wearing trainers
Not to mention knickers

It's futile to debate
With St Peter at the gate
Made of protein milkshake
And low carb intake

'Cause all in all you're just
Another prick at the door

Oh, let me in or I'll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical
Bouncer, bouncer

Bouncer, empowered and aroused
I see it in your trousers
And in the way you browse her
Look she's in!

What? Her dress is up to waterline
That bitch is clearly borderline
Nose as white as Snow White's, in moonlight

We stand in awe in front of
Another prick at the door

Oh, let me in or I'll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical
Bouncer, hey bouncer
Bounce bounce bouncer

Oh, let me in or I'll get physical
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical

So you can play karate
You think you're literati
I'm a black belt in life
So go home to your ugly wife

You forgot in your wisdom
The window to the ladies room
A whole new possibility for a cat like me

Oh, let me in or I'll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it's critical
Bouncer, hey bouncer

I think it's meant to be:

"So you can play karate You think you're literati."

Does anyone know who the singer is on this? I think it's Teemu Brunila; I don't think it's a female singer.

Yeah, it's Teemu Brunila

Yeah, pretty sure it's "You think you're literati" because ...illiterati isn't a word. :[

Bouncers are mean, nasty, jerks who should look at their miserable lame lives before they judge other people’s lives.

The meaning of the song is quite clear: Let me in or I'll hurt you because I seriously need a good time inside.

Other than that, I love the little Pink Floyd reference in the song: All in all you're just another prick at the door/ All in all you're just another brick in the wall. Also find it funny how prick resembles brick, and doors are in walls. Myeah.

I think what was happening in the music video was that while Cherry was beating up the bouncer he took his chance to gaze at her chest and grasp her ass, which angered and caused Cherry to rip off his face. Ouch.

A woman finally gets through male world and gives her spirit to a man, which have always had all the powers and influence within. The only way to get through male attitude is to get a little whore attitude and then she can finally get even. After that she dances with some animals watching her dance, and she knows she also has a little bit male power now. At the end she escapes through little window and is free. The singer is man, because it needs a male singer to get through the wall. And a man gets a spirit that is female in gender. So, there is a little male soul in a woman and a little female soul in a man. Nice, new day has come. Thank you for this song!

I think that actually the song refers to all the things that this person is willing to do to get into that club she makes references of sexual matters when it comes to what she is going to do. She may insult him and all but in the end she realizes that she only did it all in vain. When the chorus goes to Bounce, bounce, bouncer it is a close up of her chest while she straddles him and then he proceeds to grope her ass. The moment when she is covered in paint that looks creamy it's actually a metaphor that the bouncer had his way with her and and then just left her there even though she wanted in. She feels stupid and realizes that she got played so tells him to go home to his ugly wife and walks away realizing that it's not all in vain when she spots the window that is left unattended.
