Pareidolia Lyrics

I see them staring back at me
They know my name
The faces in the sky are looking for something more
My friends have paper smiles and laugh at me in all my trials
Their eyes are everywhere and see everything
What do
They need
And I need them
See me, and I see them
Within the lines they've been burned in my mind(burned in my mind!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia

My friends have hollow eyes
They're made of shapes and curvy lines
Their eyes are everywhere and see everything
What do
They need me
And I need them
See me, and I see them
Within in the lines they've been burned in my mind(burned in my mind!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia

The loneliness is only missed when I am alone
Ohhhh
Yeahh

I might try to find my light tonight
Hide my sight from eyes I try to fight
My nine eyes of light die by the blight
Ride Wight knight unite my plight tonight

They're inside me(They're inside me!)
I'm inside out(I'm inside out!)
They're all around
Within, without(Within, without!)
They're inside, I'm outside
They're all around(They're all around!)

They're inside me
I'm inside out
They're all around
(Within, without!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia

Ok this one is a bit easy.

Overview: Well, Pariedolia is the natural and constantly occuring phenomenon of the huuman brain recognizing
shapes from its memory to other abstract shapes. For example, seeing a boat or face in the clouds. A very common use of this would be as simple as this :) Now your brain automatically, from seeing it before, nitices as a human face. Even if you didn't notice it at first your brain would still see it that way and you would slowly notice it. Now that that is cleared you may already see where this is headed. However if you don't. Please keep reading.

(Phrases:) Now, Im not sure what to make of the first phrase so i will skip ahead.

My friends have hollow eyes They're made of shapes and curvy lines Their eyes are everywhere and see everything

Now this is stating that the person has become dillusional and sees the faces very often as to call them their "friend". Could be Sam?? As she is used to seeing the zombies over, and over, and over, and over. Also because she calls them her friends.

What do They need me And I need them See me, and I see them

They need her to control them, she needs them for revenge. They see her (mentally) and she sees them?

I might try to find my light tonight Hide my sight from eyes I try to fight My nine eyes of light die by the blight Ride Wight knight unite my plight tonight

m not too sure.

They're inside me I'm inside out They're all around (Within, without!)

She can't escape them.

since i'm feelin lazy and tired, i'll make this quick and focus on one part. the second verse and the chorus.

FIRST VERSE: you see, when i hear the line: "My friends have hollow eyes" i immediately think of the zombbies themselves. if you're an avid, DIE HARD zombies fan, like myself, you'd know what i mean. they're eyes are souless and glowing, only dimming at the moment of their... um... death (for lack of a better term).

then i listen to the line: "they're made of shapes and curvy lines" i think of the hundreds and hundreds of zombies moving in such large groups, that its not hard to just see shapes and lines that form these ghastly creatures.

next comes the repeating line: "they'er eyes are everywhere see eveything..." which means, again, that there are thousands of zombies, and with sam being the one who controls them, there's no doubt she see's their eyes everywhere! heh.

THE CHORUS:

"it all ends so violently i know, my sweet pareidolia... it all ends so painfully and slow, my pareidolia!" ... ... WOW... this actually has some heavy meaning to it. it actually shows sam has her caring side as well as a cold blooded killer in charge of the undead. when she says it all ends so voilently i know, she's ... SOOTHING the zombies, by telling them she knows they die violently and painfully, and she's sorry about that. she just needs them to help her kill richtofan and/or make him suffer. same goes for the second line. notice her usage of the word sweet. she talks as if stopping a child from crying. spooky huh? its cool as well!. well, yawn i'm beat. i gotta go to bed, cause I'M EXAUSTED!! adios...

...for now.

oops... i said first verse insted of second verse... my bad. ;)

I see them staring back at me They know my name The faces in the sky are looking for something more My friends have paper smiles and laugh at me in all my trials Their eyes are everywhere and see everything

^I believe this is viewed from Samantha's perspective (along with the entire song). This paragrpah refers to the title "Pareidolia" and explains all the things Sam creates in her mind. She feels like she is being watched and analyzed by the "faces in the sky" which are nothing but pigments of her own imagination.

What do They need And I need them See me, and I see them Within the lines they've been burned in my mind

^Sam needs the zombies so that she can get revenge on Richtofen for her and her fathers death. The zombies need Sam so that they have a sense of direction. They see eachothers need for the other. The lines that have burned in their mind is the path they've chosen and their desire to complete their task (richtofen's death).

It all ends so violently, I know My sweet pareidolia It all ends so painfully and slow My pareidolia

^The chorus is pretty straight forward. Zombies are violently slaughtered by the 4 characters, it ends painfully and slow as each round the zombies get stronger and stronger, slowly overwhelming the characters. I think "My sweet pareidolia" explains that Sam may imagining all this is her head and is her skew from reality.

My friends have hollow eyes They're made of shapes and curvy lines They're eyes are everywhere and see everything

^Sam is reffering back to her pareidolic views

The loneliness is only missed when I am alone

^I think she is talking about her being alone in the afterlife, and in her attempt to kill richtofen, she will have company

I might try to find my light tonight Hide my sight from eyes I try to fight My nine eyes of light die by the blight Ride Wight knight unite my plight tonight

^This part I'm still unsure about, I'm thinking it doesn't actually fit in context, it just sounds cool to sing in the song

They're inside me(They're inside me!) I'm inside out(I'm inside out!) They're all around Within, without(Within, without!) They're inside, I'm outside They're all around(They're all around!) They're inside me I'm inside out They're all around (Within, without!)

^ Sam's desire to kill Richtofen is overhwleming her and allowing the pareidolic views to control her.
