My Understandings Lyrics
I don't mind it, I don't mind if you're overrated.
Or if you're staring at the edge of the world.
Keep in mind that I'm sore of blurry vision.
But I can see it has to be you, love, that I've been dreaming of.
And if we climb this high, I swear we'll never die.
I don't mind it, I don't mind if you're overrated.
Or if you're staring at the edge of the world.
Keep in mind that I'm sore of blurry vision.
But I can see it has to be you, love, that I've been dreaming of.
And if we climb this high, I swear we'll never die.
We'll never die.
Or if you're staring at the edge of the world.
Keep in mind that I'm sore of blurry vision.
But I can see it has to be you, love, that I've been dreaming of.
And if we climb this high, I swear we'll never die.
Or if you're staring at the edge of the world.
Keep in mind that I'm sore of blurry vision.
But I can see it has to be you, love, that I've been dreaming of.
And if we climb this high, I swear we'll never die.
We'll never die.

This has to be the best song on the Album, and that vocalist has the best voice i've heard in hardcore his voice+ the lyrics + the whole feel the song has makes me cry...and i'm a guy haha :) i wish i could write a song half as good as that...this is a song that deserves to be #1 in the US and the UK
What a beautiful song! I believe it's just about pure love. He doesn't care about her flaws because he has his own. Also, he has great faith in the relationship.
I believe alan wrote this song, he wrote most of the songs on the album. I wish i knew which ones..
Alan didn't write this... or most of the album. Alan and Austin did a few of the heavier songs (Ohioisonfire, I'm A Monster, Product of a Murderer, O.G. Loko, Still YDG'n) and Shayley did the rest. There's a reason that Austin says, in every interview, this is his favorite song. Shayley killed the vocals on his own and barely got help writing it from anyone else. This, Repeating Apologies, The Great Hendowski, and When You Can't Sleep At Night are all songs he did almost solely on his own..

The song has AMAZING meaning. This is actually one of my favorite songs. I do think Austin wrote it.. I'm not that sure though. (: But yeah, if you can't tell the song is about how he doesn't care if she's different he loves her either way.
accually shayley wrote it. i saw in an interview where austin said that shay had written 2 songs and both included no screamo just him singing

To begin with, yes it's obvious that the speaker is completely in love with the subject. And there is some sort of rift in their relationship. The speaker claims to not care about the subject's imperfections or that they may not be the best choice for each other. The speaker "blurs out" the bad parts and only knows the love for the subject.
In the end they don't care that they might not be the best fit, the speaker only cares that he loves her and that he's willing to work through the problems and "climb higher" so that their mismatched aspects don't matter any more and their love will "never die."
