I Care

I believe that the song tells a type of relationship that most couples encounter. It's when one gives up and "doesn't care" anymore, but the other one will always keep on going and still give effort. The bridge obviously clarifies everything, "Boy, maybe if you cared enough, I wouldn't have to care so much..." At one point, they were so in love, but then it eventually died down.

For me it's about the relationship that has ended and the girl was and still cares for the guy so much that it hurts her.

" I told you how you hurt me, baby, but you don't care " first line Very self explanatory - the girl is telling the guy how much of an asshole he is or what but still he doesn't care. Maybe because he isn't showy or maybe because they guy didn't love her at all.

"Ever since you knew your power, you made me cry, And now, every time our love goes sour, you won't sympathize... You see these tears fallin' down to my ears - I swear, you like when I'm in pain, yeah; I try to tell you all my fears, huh! You still don't care, that's okay..."

This is my favorite part. When the girl and the guy are still in good whatever you call it for me i'll call it condition or terms the girl was helping his goals and dreams in life she helped him achieve all of that but when the guy is already on top he slowly forgets who helped him when he had that power he used it against her or something like that.

And now if they fought and got into trouble the guy don't really seem to care at all. He just forgot all the good things the girl made just for him.

And that when she try to tell him that he needs him he needs his attention and love. they need to meet halfway but the girl STILL don't care. And still because the girl loves him so much. It's just okay for her.

" Boy, maybe if you cared enough, I wouldn't have to care so much... What happened to our trust? Now you're just givin' up; You used to be so in love - now you don't care no more! "

Maybe if the guy cared enough for her, made her special and do things for her. Maybe the girl won't be clung unto him until after break-up. Like in some relationships that they say they always have each other. they'll have their forever and that infinity and beyond. They now the guy just want to give up on that. They used to be so inlove, they used to rule the world, they used to inspire people because they have this so called perfect relationship but now he doesn't care anymore.

Why will you give up on someone that you know that he/she won't give up on you, no matter what happens.
