I think this song is about a tough time in a relationship, or in life. Maybe just in this economy. It's about knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what the situation
I heard this song for the first time eight weeks after the end of my and my ex's relationship. So for me it's about the hard time you go through after being dumped and supposed to go on in life, which I've realised is rally hard. These times are hard. It kind of express the feeling of losing yourself, when you go from loved to lonely. But as time will pass by I guess all will be fine..

This song completely fits my situation. I'm too busy whinning about my life when there are people out there that have it way worse than me.
In the salt lake city concert they performed at he said he wrote this song because he know how hard of a time the world is having. Jobless rates, divorce rates at an all time high, death, wars, and so on. But these times will PASS.
