Kiss Me Slowly Lyrics
Stay with me, baby stay with me,
tonight don't leave me alone.
walk with me, come and walk with me
to the edge of all we've ever known.
I can see you there with the city lights,
fourteenth floor, pale blue eyes,
I can breathe you in.
To the shadow standing by the bedroom door,
no, I could not want you more than I did right then,
as our heads leaned in.
(Chorus)
Well I'm not sure what this is gonna be, but with my
eyes closed all I see is the skyline through the window,
the moon above you and the streets below.
Hold my breath as you're moving in,
taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes, baby don't run,
just kiss me slowly.
Stay with me, baby stay with me
tonight don't leave me alone.
She shows me everything she used to know,
picture frames and country roads.
When the days were long and the world was small.
She stood by as it fell apart to separate rooms and broken hearts,
but I won't be the one to let her go.
(Chorus)
Well I'm not sure what this is gonna be, but with my
eyes closed all I see is the skyline through the window,
the moon above you and the streets below.
Hold my breath as you're moving in,
taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes, baby don't run,
just kiss me slowly.
Don't run away.
And it's hard to love again when the only way
it's been, when the only love you know just walked away.
It gets something that you want,(idk)
but darling you don't have to run, you don't have to go.
Just stay with me, baby stay with me.
Well I'm not sure what this is gonna be, but with my
eyes closed all I see is the skyline through the window,
the moon above you and the streets below.
Hold my breath as you're moving in,
taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes, baby don't run,
just kiss me slowly.
I'm not sure where this is gonna go,
but in this moment all I know is the skyline through the window,
the moon above you and the streets below.
Hold my breath as you're moving in,
taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes, baby don't run,

To me, this song is about a boy who found a girl who's had her heart shattered a few times. Her parents got divorced when she was young, "She shows me everything she used to know, picture frames and country roads. When the days were long and the world was small. She stood by as it fell apart to separate rooms and broken hearts, but I won't be the one to let her go." And the only thing she's ever known of love was that it doesn't last after seeing her parents leave. The boy is falling for her and is telling her that he's not going to shatter her and asking her to stay and trust in him.
I. Love. This. Song.
Another quote about it....
I can't let the cat out of the bag and say exactly who 'Kiss Me Slowly' is about (and it IS about a very specific person whom a lot of people know), but 'Kiss Me Slowly' was simply inspired by my friend who I have always thought was so great and lovely even with the scars and imperfections that came as a result of past attempts with love," Will admits about the song. "Honestly, I just felt like she deserved a song for herself, so I sat down and wrote it about her.
I think I might know who he's talking about...
This girl is very famous at the first place, & a singer/songwriter too. Are we thinking the same person?

If she's also friends with him, then yes. haha

I loved this song too much for the lyrics to not be posted on this site.
This song, to me comes off as a song about meeting someone new and both having pasts with relationships going bad and finding happiness in one another. Not knowing where things were going to go with each other, but not worrying about the future and to not run away from a good thing and just "kiss me slowly"
my new obsession, beautiful.
I love Parachute & this is gorgeous song!
To me though the "She shows me everything she used to know, picture frames and country roads." & "she watched as it fell apart, to seperate rooms & broken hearts" sounds like a child watching their parents divorce?
Parachute's lead singer and guitarist Will Anderson co-wrote this track with the Country trio Lady Antebellum. He explained to AOL Music how the collaboration came about: "I went on a tour with them for a few days just to write. We weren't looking for any Parachute songs in it at the time. But we had a chance to write and ended up writing a song for somebody else that [Parachute] loved so much that I called [Lady Antebellum] and said, 'Don't give this to anybody.' And I claimed it for our band. So when the band came back in December to finish up the record, we realized that song really filled what we needed. So we decided to record, and I revamped the lyrics to fit our band."
I really get this song. You see my parents recently had a divorce, and I have to say they claimed it was all settled and they tried to get along, but they didn't realize I was awake when they were screaming at each other.
I actually have a hard time finding lyrics i really appreciate during this hard time.
And p.s. I REALLY want my crush to say that to me!
