House Lyrics
Oh I love this house I love this house
Gives me the greatest peace I’ve
Ever known oh I love to hear those conkers fall
Smash on morning Southwark stone
Oh I love that here you live with me
Gives me the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Cos I’ve been too long a lonely man
Yes I’ve been too long a rolling stone
So let seasons Turn
Grow paradise gardens
End to my migration
The native has returned
Oh I love the curling of your hair
Gives me the greatest peace
I’ve ever known
I see Dylan Thomas in your face
Recite butler yeats there
In your grace
So let seasons Turn
Grow paradise gardens
End to my Migration
The native has returned
And if I had to die today
Scatter my ashes on this place
And I’ll live on in your grieving heart
But until that day that we depart
This is the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Only your love makes house a home
Gives me the greatest peace I’ve
Ever known oh I love to hear those conkers fall
Smash on morning Southwark stone
Oh I love that here you live with me
Gives me the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Cos I’ve been too long a lonely man
Yes I’ve been too long a rolling stone
So let seasons Turn
Grow paradise gardens
End to my migration
The native has returned
Oh I love the curling of your hair
Gives me the greatest peace
I’ve ever known
I see Dylan Thomas in your face
Recite butler yeats there
In your grace
So let seasons Turn
Grow paradise gardens
End to my Migration
The native has returned
And if I had to die today
Scatter my ashes on this place
And I’ll live on in your grieving heart
But until that day that we depart
This is the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Only your love makes house a home

I think many lyrics didn't make sense, here is a more accurate version:
Oh I love this House, I love this House Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known Oh I love to hear those conkers fall Smash'em on an Southwark* stone
And I love that here you live with me Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known Cause I've been too long a lonely man Yes I've been too long a rolling stone
So let seasons turn Grow paradise garden And to my migration The native has returned
Oh I love the curling of your hair Gives me the greatest peace I've ever known I see Dylan Thomas in your face Reciting Butler Yeats in your grace Your grace, your grace
So let seasons turn Grow paradise garden And to my migration The native has returned
Returned Returned
And if I had to die today Scatter my ashes on this place And I live on in your grieving heart But until that day that we depart
Oh this is the greatest peace I've ever known Oh the greatest peace I've ever known Oh the greatest peace I've ever known Only love makes House a home
Home Home Home
This House is home Home
This is the greatest peace I've ever known Oh, the greatest peace I've ever known Oh, the greatest peace I've ever known Only love makes house a home.
Home. Home. Home. This house is home.
found that in patrick wolf's official fan board
It's amazing how full of love and happiness these Lupercalia songs are. Such a warm song. I hope Patrick stays happy, it's such a change.
Definitely about grounding yourself, and moving on from being a "rolling stone", or a restless person seeking adventures left and right. Love brings the greatest peace, and contempt, and without it, we wouldn't have a place to call "home"; somewhere where we can always go when times are rough, or we just want to rejuvenate, and be filled with love.
