I think it's:
"I was happy staying out of love that wouldn't last"
I love this song, it puts me in a really good mood :D
I'm pretty sure "You make we wanna say Me a family, a house a family Ooh, can we be a family?" Should be "You make me wanna say Meet the family, Hows the family? Ooh, can we be a family?"
It just makes more sense with the meaning of the song being about commitment
Another lyric correction, at least I think, anyway.
Instead of "Every time before we spend like maybe yes and maybe no" I'm pretty sure it's: "Cause every time before has been like Maybe yes and maybe no" Makes much more sense, anyway!
I liked this tune the first time I heard it. Light, poppy and fun, like champagne at a wedding.
