Is this all songmeanings has become? People anally quibbling over lyrics? Look wrong or not we get the gist of it. Here's my meaning:

It's all about living to the fullest. All about having a game plan for life and having the balls to fulfill it. To know that anymore, you can't just pass through life. For us Americans, there is no American Dream... only the dream.

You can't know your limits until you push forth. Evolving and learning to become the best you can, to learn to fly and follow your life. In the day you play and live like normal human beings, at night you get together and find your way. Search things out. Find ways to become who you are without society leaving you still small. It's about having a purpose.

It's about having the courage, the balls, to walk your path. To become who you are.

Good people are often hurt by this current environment. Hurt by others and one bitten they end up like hermits, never wanting to go out, never wanting to face the world. So he is saying we'll not worry about the others. We'll do our thing and not let society judge us, even see us, in our wake. We'll do our lives our way, and rise. When we rise and pass over like a satellite, we'll have each other to watch our backs.

That's all that matters.

Not quibbling over correct lyrics. What matters is we are all free. There's no time to worry about words, when the truth is spend looking so deeply into them. Rise people! Evolve! Then you'll understand the language!

Taken from the album booklet, although these are the given lyrics, it's not what he always sings. (the additions of that's why we etc) Also the mis-spellings etc are the given spellings in the book.

maybe its not contradiction, for me is like a story of a character who has to make a choice between running awya with the one he loves or stay and fight! (you can make this more complete if you want)

"You can't feel the heat until you hold your hand over the flame" you can't understand how much harm something can cause until you have experienced it for yourself.

"You have to cross the line just to remember where it lays" If you don't test your boundaries you'll forget they're even there, much less why they are there or who drew the line.

"You won't know your worth now, son, until you take a hit" Some people are all bark and no bite; they need something to happen to them personally before they understand how they would really react in that situation.

"And you won't find the beat until you lose yourself in it" You won't become dedicated to a cause until you put all you have into it without needing to think about it.

"That's why we won't back down, we won't run and hide. Ya, 'cause these are the things that we can't deny." There are certain things in this world that, once you learn the truth, you can either pretend you never heard it, or take a stand and fight for what is right.

"I'm passing over you like a satellite, so catch me if I fall." I'm taking charge, educating myself and others, and preparing for the inevitable clash. If I falter, be there to be my support.

"That's why we stick to your game plans and party lines" On the outside we appear to be regular citizens, conforming and not making a scene...

"But at night we're conspiring by candlelight" ...while on the inside we are wide awake and can see through all the lies, making our own plans to fight back

"We are the orphans of the Amerikan dream so shine your light on me" It's called a dream because you have to be asleep to believe it. Amerikan is not a typo. Our country has gone to shit and we (the younger generation) have been dumped into it.

"You can't fill your cup until you empty all it has" If you want to take the trip down the Rabbit Hole, be prepared to re-learn everything you thought you knew.

"You can't understand what lays ahead if you don't understand the past." Be a student of history. Amerika is the Modern Rome.

"You'll never learn to fly now till you're standing at the cliff" There won't be a good opportunity to put your plans in action until the eleventh hour.

"And you can't truly love until you've given up on it" If you love it, set it free. You don't know what you have until it's gone.

"She told me that she never could face the world again. So I offered up a plan:" She (girlfriend maybe) sees no point in fighting such a powerful enemy, and that resistance is futile so we should just give up and give in. He lets her know that all is not lost.

"We'll sneak out while they sleep and sail off in the night" Let's bug out and find a better place to live.

"We'll come clean and start over the rest of our lives" Put aside all of our differences and start a brand new society from the ground up.

"When we're gone we'll stay gone out of sight out of mind" Never look back, don't give them another chance.

"It's not too late we have the rest of our lives" self explanatory

We are in a fight against the New World Order. Some of you will laugh, the others know too well. All is not as it may seem, they are constantly tightening their grip on us. They poison the air, water, and food, dumb is down with drugs and schooling, keep us trapped on a postage stamp of political topics, most meaningless, censor and punish descent, feed on our energy with occult rituals, and the rabbit hole never ends. We are nearing the time, shit is about to hit the fan. Maybe martial law, maybe WWIII with US

The second verse has some incorrect lyrics. To me, it sounds like what Tim is saying is

you can't fill your cup until you empty all it has you can't understand what lays ahead if you don't understand the past you'll never learn to fly now til youre standing at the pit and you cant truly love until youve given up on it

I'm not sure if "pit" is the right word, but it definitely sounds like the word he's saying starts with a 'p', I just can't tell what it is exactly.

Sounds to me at the line "but at night we're perspiring by candlelight". It sounds more like "conspiring by candlelight" to me. And also it's "why we stick to" not "why you stick to".

I see the contradiction as Tim saying that you can run away but that is a selfish way to live by going and leaving the people you cared about and fought for behind. Those people who have been led astray with promises of an american dream that no longer exists, who are looking for a new solution (conspiracy by candlelight) but are going along with society and its members of authority as it tells them to.

Is about experiencing "life" like doing thing for real to have experience of it, instead of talking or acting without any knowledge of what is really going on.

This for me is like taking responsibility about things that have happened, what exactly i'm not sure.

A satellite is the highest man made thing that there is and the old adage goes "what goes up must come down" or "Rome was destroyed, Greece was destroyed, Persia was destroyed, Spain was destroyed. All great countries are destroyed"

This is about playing the part in what society expects, but really trying to revolutionize a radical change and that it doesn't have to be the typical rebellious punks or hippies that protest stereo types that make a difference but normal everyday working people.

"We are the orphans of the Amerikan Dream So shine your light on me"

I'm not sure really what the Amerikan dream is.... maybe global domination, i was under the impression that it was freedom, and maybe shine your light on me is asking to be exposed for what it really is...

again about life experience issues however touching on that you won't actually do something about your situation or learn unless provoked or encouraged... but i think it is more negative like provoked.

This again is about confessing(coming clean) to some kind of atrocity/ies like the chorus part... although it seams to touch on suicide which i find quite common in RA lyrics across almost all of their albums with being gone and staying gone... although as mentioned earlier it does seam to contradict the chorus

I think that this song is about not giving up. Most of the lines not including the chorus sound like they are about how people make mistakes.

It's a song about every person living their own life and "following the party lines, but at night conspiring by candle light" Essentially, we follow what people want for as long as we have to, but eventually we want to go our own route in life.
