I think it's pretty obvious what it's about. Everybody goes through hard times and it's okay to be upset with these hard times and it's okay to cry. Everybody hurts. :P

I think the song is self explanatory.
Everybody hurts. It's okay to just cry and scream on days when you're feeling alone. You're not alone int his world. Somewhere, someone is going through the same thing. It's not just you, so don't feel alone. It's okay to be afraid and just know that everybody hurts.
When i first saw this song i thought it would just be a cover of REM's everybody hurts and luckily it wasn't
within the first few seconds of this song playing i knew it would be my new favorite song and it was!, i just can't get enough of that guitar strumming!!
