Seems to me like it's about love, I believe the "it" he's referring to is love. Not just any love, first love. When I say first love I don't mean his first time falling in love ever. I mean the first time you realize you love someone in a relationship. Idk, it just seems to make sense with the rest of the song. The energy of this song, it perfectly matches the rush...the fear of love.

I feel the weight I'm unsure Don't race to let it in

I love the repetition of "let it in" at the end of the verses. Don't forget to let love in, but don't rush into love either. Seems like he's secretly in love with someone and the secret is a weight on his shoulders. He says's he's unsure which makes me smile thinking about when I first love and I just couldn't work up the courage to tell her. Almost makes you second guess yourself.

It's so alive It's all starting

Perhaps this is his first time being in love with someone, maybe it's something he's even sought after, and he just can't believe it's real. I think the first two verses are him speculating to himself about love and that "It's so alive, It's all starting" is actually that point where you fall in love with someone you're in a relationship with for the first time.

I could be completely wrong in all of this but it's just what the song means to me
