How I Waited Lyrics

How I waited back on the corner
For you to make me see straight again

I could steal your heart in picture
But I don't think it's getting better

You swore that you'd be alright
But you're not
You swore that you'd be fine
But you're not

And I'm sorry about it
I'm just tired of wasting time.

I killed another one tonight
I can't stop myself from crying
I killed another girl tonight
I just can't help myself anymore

And your Dad swore you would be fine
But he lied
Your Mom said stop calling nights, leave sometimes
And your grave has never looked so good as it does in the daylight

I'm tired of wasting time
I'm tired of wasting time

It's October the 22nd, now.
It's been three days since I felt it
It's October the 22nd, now.
It's been three years since you left me.
For below... oh. oh. oh.

Your Dad swore you would be fine
But, God he lies
Your Mom said stop calling nights, Andy, leave sometimes.
And your grave has never looked as good as it does in the daylight.

I'm tired of wasting time
On a body that has no life
On a rhythm that has no rhyme.
Tonight.

Cover art for How I Waited lyrics by Andy Hull

I hate to say it but i think this song is about an ex-girlfriend that committed suicide. Especially if you listen to this song and Mancester Ochestra's/Andy Hull's song "I Can Feel Your Pain" In this song he is blaming himself.."I Killed another one tonight..." even though the girl's parents said she would be ok and the girl said she would also. If she were medically sick i dont think that would be the case. Most of his pain in the song is guilt.
