Indy Kidz Lyrics
I want to be just like you
I’ve got these pictures keep rolling around my head
I want to hang them on the wall above my head
And it’s so easy to step aside and walk in line like all the rest
But I never did that well on tests
I don’t watch tv cause it’s just a box of lies
It makes me want to stick a toothpick in my mind
While the world goes down the drain I eat popcorn from the bag
Some people say that I’ve gone mad
I got to go to the storehouse and get some shoes
And and the right haircut, get the right haircut
And then, and then I’ll put the shoes on my feet
And the right haircut, the right haircut
Ah ah ah ah.. yeah…. Yeah
You’re so cool, yeah so cool
Yeah, you’re so cool
I wanna be just like you
You’re so cool
I wanna be just like you
Yeah, so cool, so cool
So cool
I want to hang them on the wall above my head
And it’s so easy to step aside and walk in line like all the rest
But I never did that well on tests
It makes me want to stick a toothpick in my mind
While the world goes down the drain I eat popcorn from the bag
Some people say that I’ve gone mad
And and the right haircut, get the right haircut
And then, and then I’ll put the shoes on my feet
And the right haircut, the right haircut
Yeah, you’re so cool
I wanna be just like you
You’re so cool
I wanna be just like you
Yeah, so cool, so cool
So cool

A dark and mocking take on the irony that is the Indy Kid. He (the Indy Kid) attempts to be different from everyone else, but in doing so becomes a clone of all the other Indy Kids. An awesome and powerful song with a cool sound to it.
i love their sarcasm, it's the best :)
how the indie scene has become a pardoy of itself . indy and the counter culture about freedom . however in order to become and be considered indy you have ot be like other indy people putting you in a box. it is about hypocriticism. it is about how we are all the same wanting to fit some kind of image, fit into some kind of culture and soicety
Seems like a tongue-in-cheek view of Hipster/Indie kids
I love it, really reminds me of a Sonic Youth influenced sound, it fits the lyricism.
reminds me of the pixies with the screaming/ranting/guitar tones
