The Roller Lyrics

You didn't know what to say
It all came at you today
Can't get out your own way
Well hold on, hold on, hold on.

I'm hiding out in the sun
I'm getting everyone done
Just me hating no one
Here I come, here I come, here I come

Just call me the roller
I'll squeeze and unfold ya
Call me the roller
I just go to show ya

So you been crawling through a maze
An alcohol lemon haze
I've been watching you for days
You've been outta sight alright, alright, alright

I'll take you somewhere you never knew you'd been
I'll give you something you never knew you'd feel
The only thing is, everything is really tonight, tonight, tonight

Just call me the roller
I'll squeeze and unfold ya
Call me the roller
I just go to show ya

Just call me the roller
I'll come blow you over
Call me the roller
I'm pleased that I know ya

I'll take you somewhere you never knew you'd been
I'll give you something you never knew you'd feel
The only thing is everything is really tonight, tonight, tonight

Just call me the roller
I'll squeeze and unfold ya
Call me the roller
I just go to show ya

Having had the pleasure of Liam's company on quite a few benders I know where...

..."So you been crawling through a maze, An alcohol lemon haze,...

...comes from - one of his favourite drinks is Whiskey Sour! Hahaha

Although his method of drinking them has changed since the 90s, it's still one of his favourites.

Could anyone tell me what "roller" means here? Despite looking it up, I'm not quite sure what it means. (English is not my first language. Thanks.)

Isn't this a Gem song? Saw an interview somewhere explaining that it's about a happy-go-lucky kind of guy that most people know but that doesn't often get celebrated. The kind of person who gets people up when they're down, distracts them from their worries etc, clearly through the medium of a day or night on the town...
