AMAZING SONG! I recently went through a tough breakup and played this song over and over again. I'd sing "Oh Father, give me grace to forgive them, cause I feel like the one losing" (but replaced them with him) and as bizarre as it sounds, it really just gave me hope. I could choose to be bitter or realize that God has someone better!<3

This song is so meaningful to me!! I can relate so much. I was physically and sexually abused several times and I still to this day have trouble forgiving them. I'm just so bitter and damaged and like the song I feel like the one losing. I'm losing the fight to be free from all this bitterness but I'm asking God to forgive them and for grace to forgive them myself. And the lyrics on the bridge are extremely wrong

I was emotionally and physically abused for about 5 1/2 years, with the emotional often, and the physical rare. it was hard, finding out that my whole family denied the abuse, and blamed me for it....it sucks being forsaken. but at least my in laws know the truth. <3 <3
