Backmask Lyrics

Don't know why so much confusion
needs to be obsessed about
under the mountains,
the seed's depression,
watch it disappear
don't remind me again
it's already written

distance always seems familiar
nothing here can change without
listening carefully for your cue to change the other lines
late at night he calls to us
building, nesting in our skulls
so he can rest conveniently
conserving all the energy
it takes, lower your head and take some time to feel the sound
surrender expectations
it's not just an explanation that we found

don't remind me again
it's already written
nothing's obvious
it's already been given

Don't know why so much confusion
needs to be obsessed about
under the mountains,
the seed's depression,
watch it disappear

late at night it calls to us
building, nesting in ours skulls
so it can rest conveniently
conserving all the energy
it takes, lower your head and take some time to feel the sound
surrender expectations
its not just an explanation that we found

there's no need
there's no need to force it down
there's no need to force it down
I just need
I just need to make a sound
there's no need
there's no need to force it down
there's no need
I just want
I just want
I just want to make a sound
there's no need
no need to force it down

I think "it's already been depicted? (?)" is "it's already been given". One I'm less sure about is "take some time to feel the sound", I think it may be "take some time to feel this out". Good job getting these up so quickly though.

Found a couple more. "the sea's depression" is "the seed's depression" and "late at night he calls to rest" is "late at night he calls to us". Also forgot to mention how amazing this song is.

Yeah it definitely sounds like Seed's Depression but I think sea's depression makes more sense and sounds better. Thanks man, some of it is hard to make out.

minor changes, but yea.

also I think the song's about how Blue Sky Noise got so much negative criticism.

pretty certain that the tracks on the appendage EP were tracks originally recorded for the Blue Sky Noise album, but it was decided they didn't fit in with the rest of the songs on the album, did try to find the interview with AG, but cannot remember what site i read it on

http://www.dictionaryofobscuresorrows.com/ claims that backmasking is the tendency to see someone as they once were, which is what i like to think this song is about.

i like lolicorrectyou's view of the lyrics and i feel like it fits well with the meaning i just gave. "there's no need to force it down/ i just want to make a sound" it totally makes sense. i love this goddam song

Bask-masking is when one hides messages in songs backwards...i wonder if Anthony left us a little message in this track.

He did. He says "moses" at 0:29 twice or something, and then "jesus" at 0:36 and 0:46. haha creepy

i don't hear anything (being sung) at any of those times...?
