I still remember the look on your face
Lit through the darkness at 1:58
The words that you whispered for just us to know
You told me you loved me, so why did you go
Away?
Away

I do recall now the smell of the rain
Fresh on the pavement, I ran off the plane
That July 9th, the beat of your heart
It jumps through your shirt, I can still feel your arms

But now I'll go
Sit on the floor wearin' your clothes
All that I know is I don't know
How to be somethin' you miss

I never thought we'd have a last kiss
I never imagined we'd end like this
Your name, forever the name on my lips

I do remember the swing of your step
The life of the party, you're showin' off again
And I'd roll my eyes, and then you pull me in
I'm not much for dancin', but for you I did
Because I love your handshake, meetin' my father
I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets
How you'd kiss me when I was in the middle of sayin' somethin'
There's not a day I don't miss those rude interruptions

And I'll go
Sit on the floor wearin' your clothes
All that I know is I don't know
How to be somethin' you miss

I never thought we'd have a last kiss
I never imagined we'd end like this
Your name, forever the name on my lips
Ooh

So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep
And I feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe
And I keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are
Hope it's nice where you are

And I hope the sun shines and it's a beautiful day
And something reminds you, you wish you had stayed
You can plan for a change in weather and time
But I never planned on you changin' your mind

So I'll go
Sit on the floor wearin' your clothes
All that I know is I don't know
How to be somethin' you miss

I never thought we'd have a last kiss
I never imagined we'd end like this
Your name, forever the name on my lips
Just like our last kiss
Forever the name on my lips
Forever the name on my lips
Just like our last

I think this is my favorite song in the Album. You can tell time passed and walls lowered. She isn't angry anymore, just full of regret, and missing him. Such a good sequal to "Forever and Always".

This song is about Joe Jonas. -The secret message is FOREVER AND ALWAYS -In July 2008 she took a plane to Texas I think to watch a Jonas Brothers Concert. -You can really feel that this is for someone in her past that was a deep cut. And the only guy I can think of that really impacted her in her younger days is Joe.

It's just like how everyone's first love, deepest love is. No matter how many years pass, that first love will have a place in your heart. you always think your first love is your only love but people change their minds. This is a sweet song. Seems she could break down and cry an minute from the sound of her voice. Really like this album, you can tell she's matured a lot.

Favorite line "I don't know how to be something you miss."

The emotion in the way Taylor sings this song is absolutely touching. She loved that guy.

first of all i LOVE this song. it reminds me of this guy i liked a while ago. i haven't seen him in over a year, and sometimes i wonder how he's doing, like the line, "I hope it's nice where you are." Her voice is so gorgeous in this. Why do people say she can't sing? I mean she's no, like, Kelly Clarkson but her voice is cute and fragile, like her vulnerability, which is what defines most of her songs. It makes her unique.

This song is one of the best on the album, in my opinion. It's very soft, slow and sincere. You can hear her hurt in her voice and the pain she's feeling and the desperation in the fact that she feels so lost from losing the relationship. 'So I'll go sit on the floor wearing your clothes/and all I know is that/I don't know how to be something you miss.'

It's clear that even though she was angry (Forever & Always) she was still very hurt by all of this.

This song really hits home for me and I'll admit I cried when I first heard it. The ending is the saddest .. 'So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep. I'll feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe.'

It's an incredibly beautiful song and I adore this entire album .. she's grown so much and it's amazing how she keeps outdoing herself.

This song is self explanatory & one of Taylor's best & most raw songs. She really a talented young lady and her songs are so much deeper then the average listener would know.

I agree with most of what you all have said. She wrote Forever & Always last minute and it was added to "Fearless", so it was her initial response to the whole situation and she was in shock and angry. Two years have passed and her anger is gone and now I think she's just regretful and nostalgic. This may be my favorite song on the album.

love this song. it is about joe, because the intro is 27 seconds long, which is how long their breakup call was.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
