Here we go, 1 2 3 4
There's nothing left to hide
You can see it in my eyes
Oh I've tried to be who I thought you wanted
And if it's all a lie
The truth's not far behind
We could try to live right for the moment
Ramona
Ramona
Ramona
If only I had known
It's less than what I felt
Why should I have nothing to fear from?
Ramona
Ramona

Ramona
Ramona
Ramona
Ramona
Ramona
Ramona
You can see it in my eyes
Oh I've tried to be who I thought you wanted
The truth's not far behind
We could try to live right for the moment
Ramona
Ramona
It's less than what I felt
Why should I have nothing to fear from?
Ramona

Love the movie, love the comic, love this song. Sad song I think it's about a guy who fell in love with Ramona, but he was the only one really in love "if only I had known, it's less than what I felt." He's not sure if she felt it or if she lied. He tried his best for her, but he feels he failed. He keeps repeating her name, the whole pace of the song is slow and sad. Love hurts D=
It's about putting a cable down to earth.
Thinking outside the box here....Beck might have included a political statement in this song as well as the normal love for a women, etc. I'll explain... The first line of the first verse says "There's nothing left to hide" and the last line of the last verse is "Why should I have nothing to fear from?" Seems very similiar to the privacy argument you might hear somebody say to justify increased and invasive government surveillance on its citizens. They will usually say something akin to "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." (Before any crazies out there start calling names, I'm not a left wing liberal Odumbo loving dumbocrat etc, etc. so save your energy and creative thoughts for your daily afternoon foxnews website comment wars please!!). I just happened to read those two lines together and my thoughts spilled onto the board. Thanks for reading ;)
I can't wait to hear this song when it's finished.
