Really love this band and this song. I think the bullfighter jacket/nothing beneath is about having a tough/ "i don't care" exterior so as to hide true feelings, and I think the "you" in the "you've got your bullfighter jacket on" really refers to the person telling the story.
"I had to take my mask off to kiss you in the street" of course means they had to strip away their pride and ego and just face up to having feelings for this person. Also love the "I know you're half crazy but I don't care"-- who isn't half crazy, anyway.
