I think its a song about Love and drugs. Make lemonade out of lemons means , i wish I could make your situation better. He is singing about a girl. If I could pay off my doctor and get better I would, I think its about his pill addiction. Paying off the doctor to feel normal. The acoustic version is better than the album version I think. Either way its a beautiful song and is awesome.
