It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up 'cause you were born this way, baby

My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far
Listen to me when I say"

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way (born this way)

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way (born this way)
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Right track baby I was born this way

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be, don't be, don't be

Give yourself prudence
And love your friends
Subway kid, rejoice your truth

In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth

A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (hey hey hey)
I love my life, I love this record and
Mi amore vole fe, yah (same D.N.A.)

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way (born this way)
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

(Way) Don't be
(Don't be)
(Way) Church

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen
You're black, white, beige, chola descent
You're Lebanese, you're Orient
Whether life's disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
'Cause baby you were born this way

No matter gay, straight, or bi
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way yeah

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way (born this way)
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

I was born this way hey
I was born this way hey
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey

I was born this way hey
I was born this way hey
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey

Same D.N.A. But born this way
Same D.N.A. But born this way

    My Opinion

You don't have a Soul. You are a Soul. You have a body." - C.S. Lewis

H-I-M is not the holy father, it is lucifer the great deciever. You are born clean of personal sin and with free will, but have original sin. You are the culmination of your actions and more importantly your thoughts. You are created in his image but God did not make you the person you are right now at this moment, you did. The purpose of pop culture, and politics is give you something shiny to stare at so that you don't see where the yellow brick road leads to. That blanket all is forgiven God made you that way would make beastiality, necrophelia, incest, and all other sexual immorality fine. Now I am not preaching "God hates gays" God doesn't hate anyone, but he does hate sin, and temptation is not sin, it's when you at upon it.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:5 5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

Revelation 22:11 Let those who don't have God's approval go without it, and let filthy people continue to be filthy. Let those who have God's approval continue to have it, and let holy people continue to be holy."

So basically its societies job to maintain the status quo, and to entertain the masses and to let people who are on the wrong path stay there.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Henry_VIII The Protestant (The basis for modern day non catholic christians) movement was started by a King that wanted to be the head of both the monarcy and the church, then divorce and behead all his wives and became obese and consumed by lust and became a recluse before going insane.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
