fuck this song and the whole album are great. I love theyre new sound. Always been a fan of melodic bands. ive been a fan since forever. Overcome was weak but this one creeped up on us got close to our ears and yelled "all that remains is back bitches!" haha amazing album every song on there has potential to be a single.

There is a conflict between the speaker and woman who was close to him. It starts out as a physical conflict, with the speaker not wanting to become intimate with the woman anymore because it is only causing spiritual pain and it does not look like it will stop anytime soon (i.e. "this is not a passing trend"). Or the physical aspect of it could be referring to abuse, but I don't think so. Overall, no agreement can be made between the two, so the speaker's ultimatum is given in the chorus.

I believe that the speaker in this song is a man who is upright and moral, while the woman is not. He knows the truth and he sees through the lies that she is telling him. He then says that despite the many struggles that they have endured, alone or collectively, and having what seemed to be a strong relationship, he cannot stay with her any more- he cannot hold on. It could just be one thing about her- one belief, one action- or it could be several, that cross the line and push the speaker over the edge in regards to the things that his faith will let him allow.

I like to think that when she asks him if he believed "it," which would be referring to her belief that caused this division between them, he told her his beliefs, and in doing so that made him stronger. Perhaps it was his faith, and in defending it, he came to embrace it more.

Another classic from ATR, despite its gentleness and softer sound; I am stoked for the upcoming album- I think it will be their best yet. This song is very catchy and it carries a deep meaning we all need to listen to: if anything is contrary to the truth, to the objective norms that all humans are subjected to, not just Christians, then is must be done away with, with no exceptions. We just can't hold on the to the sinful elements of the world in any more.

WTF is with the garbage near the bottom of the lyrics, Phil doesn't even sing that in the song! and its "come get some" not "come this far" and as for the meaning to this song in my opinion, It seems as if he feels betrayed by someone close to him probably a girlfriend because she might have been cheating on him and he know that be the girlfriend is unaware of that so everytime she goes to touch him for instance he desn't want that because he knows what she has been doing and it's only going to hurt him, So he now realizes that he has to take action "time to realize, No more" so he is going to end the relationship with her. I don't have a clue at what he means by "I still know that your wrong" anyone care to give us there opinion about this??

dude,let them have a "ballad"-ish song on this album... (hoping the rest isn't the same) they need to express themselves as they can. even if the best song they have is : this calling, i'm still hoping on better ones :)

This song to me is very well put... I infact can relate.. its obviouse he's upset about a companion most likely a girlfriend. She's wrong because she probably messed up in some way or another "cheating" . They probably were going to try and make it work and he realized it wasn't going to so he made it clear they need to stop. She on the other hand still believed and wanted to try but its was completely pointless...He forced them to move on sucks but she messed up.

It's about him giving up in a relationship...Pure & simple.

The girl is telling him all these things that she thinks he wants to hear, but he doesn't believe any of it. He thinks the relationship is over, and there isn't anything that they can do about it. The relationship has gotten to hard to handle, and he can't hold on anymore...

I believe its a breakup song as well. He's trying to break free of her but she's trying to hold on to him. He's figured out that everything she has to say is a lie, and she's only going to hurt him even more. I have to agree with bb4christ.

I see what it means now. I relate it to my life, how I am going through my storms, and even though it makes me strong, I can't hold on. It seems like I hit a brick wall every time, I try to better myself and end up back at square one again. That is how I relate to this song.
