Q&A
Jacksonville Lyrics
Slow down your mind
Fill the unknown spaces with truth and lie
If you can find the time
And time seems so slow
Now we're stuck here asking "where did it go?"
(And where do we come from?)
And what are we here for?
There we were looking out some country window
And although we had our problems, we were fine
The sky was blue and the night was all I wanted
Let me be your comet, I will fly
Summer time, so sweet
The luxuries of childhood were on our feet
In the sun sun sun
So, baby, run run run
Baby, run run run
Games will be portrayed
There we were looking out some country window
And although we had our problems, we were fine
The sky was blue and the night was all I wanted
Let me be your comet, I will fly
The sky was blue and the night was all I wanted
Let me be your comet, I will fly
I've been to Jacksonville
I've been to Montorey
I felt some others love
I'd seen the colours change
I cried a million tears
I caused a million more
I've been to Jacksonville
There we were looking out some country window
And although we had our problems, we were fine
Fill the unknown spaces with truth and lie
If you can find the time
And time seems so slow
Now we're stuck here asking "where did it go?"

haha I think "monorail" near the end aught to be "Monterey". That sounds closer, and it's another town.
It's...
I've been to Jacksonville I've been to Monterey I felt some others love I'd seen the colours change I cried a million tears I caused a million more I've been to Jacksonville
Well at least the first part. I believe some of the other lines also start with "I've".

It's the weirdest song in the album,I haven't got to like it yet. Saying that, I love the whole album, love his lyrics, music... It's the best album I bought in a while. I like the fact that he brings something different. You don't get many uplifting lyrics like his. I wish there were more who had this originality. Let's face it, everything you hear in the charts is about sex, drugs, or hatred... It's getting boring. I'm liking this guy more and more! I'm a huge fan of the killers, and still would be thrilled to hear another BF solo album. The guy's a genius!
