You Belong Here Lyrics
You belong here
You were meant for me
You belong here
You were meant to be with me
You got the better part of me
Always have and always will
You got the better part of me, oh
And you know that I'm right
And I know I'm asking so much
And I know I'm taking control
But a heart that's not worth breaking
Isn't worth much, not at all
Isn't worth much at all
You belong here
You were meant for me
You belong here
You belong here with me
You were meant to be with me
You are the better part you'll see
Always have and always will
You'll be the better part of me, oh
For the rest of my life
And I know I'm asking too much
And I know I want control
But I'll give you all I have
It isn't much, not much at all
I'm not much at all
You belong here (You belong here )
You were meant for me
You belong here (You belong here )
You belong here with me
You belong here (You belong here )
You belong here with me
You were meant to be with me
But I'll give you all I have
It isn't much, not much at all
But a heart that's not worth breaking
Isn't worth much, not at all
You were meant for me
You belong here
You were meant to be with me
Always have and always will
You got the better part of me, oh
And you know that I'm right
And I know I'm taking control
But a heart that's not worth breaking
Isn't worth much, not at all
Isn't worth much at all
You were meant for me
You belong here
You belong here with me
You were meant to be with me
Always have and always will
You'll be the better part of me, oh
For the rest of my life
And I know I want control
But I'll give you all I have
It isn't much, not much at all
I'm not much at all
You were meant for me
You belong here (You belong here )
You belong here with me
You belong here (You belong here )
You belong here with me
You were meant to be with me
It isn't much, not much at all
But a heart that's not worth breaking
Isn't worth much, not at all

Stephen has reached that final point in writing love songs. The opposite of this song is "The Art Of War", and the companion is "Take Me (As You Found Me).
I only say this because this song is mostly directed and written as if it were towards a relationship in the final stages of full acceptance or it's converse being full loss. In this case full acceptance because this is a person saying to his significant other "You were meant for me" and "You belong here with me" and no one else. It's a quite flattering song, but it truly is meant for a mature romance (and most definitely for a couple who are getting married).
"Isn’t this really what we all want? Just to know we are accepted without any hesitation? In order to receive we must first give, and we may not be much but when we give everything it may be all that someone has in this life." - Stephen Christian anberlinlyrics.tumblr.com
