The word "virtuous" might be wrong. Also the "merry merry part". I had a hard time understanding that part. And sorry for the first wrong song. I can't figure out how to delete it. But I think this about war and he's talking to our political leaders, and how they have betrayed us all. How they've believed all the lies they have been told, and those were enough to go to war. They've have been in cohorts with our enemies, Bin Laden, hussein, got what they wanted like Oil, and used that as a fuel for the war. He could also be talking to our soldiers who have to do what they are told, telling them to wake up and see what our Capital hill has done to make us "Dumb Deaf and Blind" with lies, and will lead to our own destruction. Just my opinion though.

Im pretty sure the "virtuous" part is wrong. Pretty sure he says "the vultures swarm, in circles like a storm." and I'm almost positive he says "the carnivores rip into the core, for more and more and more." And one more thing, pretty sure he says "tone deaf and blind."

Ah, there's a few grammatical mistakes in this. The following lines:

SHOULD be:

"Never ever show you're terrified" "You're feeding the fire" "Those ravenous bastards always get what they're after"

I feel like this could be taken as either a very literal sense or the deep meaning sense.

The literal is kind of obvious, I think. It seems like a world of the wild, where everyone is on the hunt for everyone else- either be for actual hunger or mere power and fortune. Whatever an individual can do to tear another one down to bring themselves up, they're all for. Note: "The carnivores will rip into the core, for more and more and more, they rip into the core." Is a perfect example of what I mean. Which is still deep, but also literal without being too literal.

The deep meaning could be exactly what user zie24 commented, and that it's about the music industry wants out of you instead of what musicians want out of the music. This could also be an indirect statement of what media does to the world. They lie, make you believe and trust then stab you when you aren't looking. Making everyone dumb, deaf, and blind to the reality of the world but no one wants to own up to what they dish out.
