Praying won't do it
Hating won't do it
Drinking won't do it
Fighting won't knock you out
Of my head

Hiding won't hide it
Smiling won't hide it
Like I ain't tried it
Everyone's tried it now
And failed somehow

So when you gonna let me
When you gonna let me out
Out

And if you know
How do you get up from an all time low?
I'm in pieces
Seems like peace is
The only thing I'll never know
How do you get up
Get up

'Cause driving won't do it
Flying won't do it
Denying won't do it
Crying won't drown it out
What you said

When I'm standing on the yellow line
Waiting at the station
Or I'm late for work
A vital presentation
If you call me now girl
Without reservation
I would try to break through

But if you know
How do you get up from an all time low?
I'm in pieces
It seems like peace is
The only thing I never know
How do you get up from an all time low?
I can't even find a place to start
How do I choose between my head and heart
'Til it ceases I never know, know
How do you get up from an all time low?

A low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low
Can you hear me
A low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low
Can't you hear me
A low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low
Can't you hear me
A low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low, a low

And if you know
How do you get up from an all time low?
I'm in pieces
It seems like peace is
The only thing I never know
How do you get up from an all time low?
I can't even find a place to start
How do I choose between my head and heart
'Til it ceases I never know
How do you get up from an all time low?

I can't even find a place to start
How do I choose between my head and heart
'Til it ceases I never know
How do you get up from an all time low?

first to comment, i heard the song ..then seen the video and was gutted at how chhesey they are.

shame for them to be marketed that way.

I think the songs about feeling at the like your at the bottom and theres no way to pick yurself up.

Wether that be, you just lost somone u love, or u are just in a rutt of life , cant get a job etc

All time low can be lots of things, its how ever it relates to you, personally i think its wrote in the love way..like u have just lost ur gf/bf and you cant get over it

I heard them say what the song meant and if you listen to the lyrics you can see how it means that. The WANTED said that the song was about when a girl is on you mind all the time and you cant get anything right and you dont know how to stop it, in other words "how do you get up from an all time low?" I absolutely love this song and the meaning of it its really good!

    I agree with XxVoodoodollxX!

It's about a guy who's got this one special girl who's constantly on his mind. Yup, this song's pretty self-explanatory.

looks good !!!.....one question:" How do you get up from an all time low?" is a demand for consolation (the boy sees himself in "an all time low ") or is a meaningfull sentence from someone like Mr.Darcy (can you remember his first suggestion to elisabeth?).... or what?!!!

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
