Hey there father I don't want to bother you,
But I've got a sin to confess
I'm just sixteen if you know what I mean
Do you mind if I take off my dress
I don't know where to start,
So let me get to the good parts
You might want to cross up your legs
I've got envy I've got greed,
Anything that you need and I'm not above having to beg

There was this boy who
Tore my heart in two
And I had to lay him eight feet under ground

Now all I need is someone to save me
'Cause I am going down
And what I need is someone to save me
'Cause I am going down
All the way down

Well hey there father there is just one other thing,
I have a simple request,
I hear you know god could you give him a nod in my direction,
I would be in your debt, perhaps
There is something that we could work out,
I noticed your breathing has started to change,
We could go in the back behind all
These stacks of bibles and get out of this cage

There was this boy who
Tore my heart in two
And I had to lay him eight feet under ground

Now all I need is someone to save me
'Cause I am going down
And what I need is someone to save me
'Cause I am going down
All the way down

I didn't wanna do it father but I caught him
With another woman in the bed I made
And so I put him in the grave
And now there's no one left around
To get me off when I want its a drag
The next day on the television they identified him
By the circumcision that I made
And now I'm on the run but wait
Why did I have to go and kill him
When he was the best I ever had

All I need is someone to save me
'Cause god I'm going down
And what I need is something to save me
'Cause god I'm going down
All the way down

Is that a subtle stab at the Catholic Church I see?

This song is brilliant. About a girl that kills an ex because he hurt her eventhough he was "the best she ever had". She goes to confession and, at least to me, it seems like she's offern to sleep with the priest? I mean, the ine referring to getting her off when she needs a drag...either way, a very good piece of music. And from a Gossip Girl actress? Impressive.

I LOVE this song. It is just so fun. I think the meaning is pretty straight forward. She killed her ex cause she was sleeping with another girl, and then regrets it afterward because she releases that he was the best guy she's ever slept with. She goes to confession offers the priest a trade. If he saves her soul she will have sex with him. And might I add I love the double meaning of "Goin' Down". One is "Goin all the way down to hell" and the other is....well i let you figure that out for yourself I love how Taylor pokes fun at the Catholic Church so artfully. First with this song and then when she plays a slutty version of Mary Magdalene at the Last Supper. It's hard to believe she's only 17

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
