Bulletproof Love

I've always been obsessed with happy songs that have morbid lyrics. Lyrically, this song is one of the darkest I've ever written. It's about being obsessed with someone to the point where you're hurting yourself. A lot of it is written almost like a suicide note meant to be found by the one you love. It's completely crazy and extreme, but it's also comforting to say out loud the things you’re thinking sometimes.

Song meaning i came up with: (He's reminiscing about a girl he used to go out with whom he loved, and now he's alone and feels sort of depressed, to the point where he feels like hurting himself because he doesn't think he can go on without her love and he misses her and he never stopped loving her, but she did so she tried blaming the whole situation on him so she could make the break-up easier on her conscious, so she was trying to trick him into feeling like the reason for the break-up when it was really her fault.He tried his hardest to tell her that they could make it worktear my voice apart But she just had no feelings for him so he was just trying to make it work with someone who quiet frankly didn't want it to work out. Scream at the drunken moon. so there was nothing he could do, but accept the fact that it was over, but he wasn't capable of doing that. So the whole grieving process repeats itself day after day.)

Of course you could just say as the person said above it's self explanatory and basically is about a guy who misses a girl, but there's a whole story that you're just scrapping which i felt i should tell you all about, this is my opinion on what the lyrics mean of course.

Self explanatory. he misses her, and she's gone.

He misses her, and he's to the point where he's hurting himself.

such a beautiful song. pierce the veil is simply amazing.

Just a general comment here, but the lines:

"Forever and alone."

"I wanna hold your hand so tight,"

and "My love for you was bulletproof, but you're the one who shot me." remind me of Molly's unrequited love for Sherlock Holmes on BBC's Sherlock. Any Sherlockians agree?

Bulletproof Love by Pierce The Veil is a very great song, The meaning behind it is even more amazing. Vic Fuentes, is a very great writer. What he wrote is very dark, and beautiful. It is very descriptive so no one really knows what it's about until they listen and really think about it for awhile. This song is about a suicide note. It says "By the time you're hearing I'll already be gone", "Now there's nothing to do, but scream at the drunken moon", "Forever and alone". What he's saying is basically that he's already dead, but still telling his story while being dead. The girl he dated, was found cheating on him, and he was so depressed from it, that he killed himself. And made this suicide note, (The Song) for her to read. Talking about his amazing times with her, the fights with her, and his death from her cheating.The girl was sick and tired of him not caring, and not spending a lot of time with him. "This isn't fair, Don't you try to blame this on me, My love for you was bulletproof but you're the one who shot me" That shows that he didn't spend enough time with her, and she's saying "don't blame this on me, when you caused this" It also could show that his love for her was unconditionally, but she made him kill himself, because it's her fault that she cheated, and made this happen.

To me this song has a realy deep meaning

The first part say "I'll bring u in with smoke in the backyard light" This part pretty much say that they used to hang out together and have a really awesome time since they used to laugh until they choked.

The part where he say "the taste of u will never leave my lip" shows that he will always reember her even through the blinding rain. No matter how much he cries he will remember her. When it say that he will join the singing vultures it kinda shows that he feels like he is going to die.

When it says that he is barely hanging on it shows that he is pretty much killing himself and once she finds out that he is killing himself it will be to late since he will already be dead.

When he say "don't blame this on me" it shows that it wasn't his fault that they broke up it was her fault. But she doesn't want to accept it. so he goes and cuts himself and that where the part of "So I'll try to write it and fill the pen with blood from the sink." comes into play...

Love this song has to be one of my fav by pierce the veil... makes me want to cry(T_T)
