Well, I guess I kind of see this song as Owen&Annabell's song, from Sarah Dessen's book, Just Listen. I absolutely love it, because it's saying that they really don't care about how different they are from each other, they know that they love each other, &they just want to be together in peace, for one night. When Beck says "it's not hard to say what we should not" I always think of Owen not telling any lies. If you haven't read this book, it's alright, it wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it was still pretty great. Hopefully this was helpful.

They feel this instant passion which makes you want to express your feelings right away. It's just that fling kind of thing "It's just for tonight darling. Let's get lost" They don't want to get serious and are more interested in that adventurous type of romance.
